Dark Beauty of the Absurd

Most of us keep trying to find meaning in our lives. Some of us are Sisyphus, and the others Naranath Bhranthan. The former is cursed to roll a huge boulder all the way up a hill only for it to roll down as it neared the top, an action which is repeated for eternity. The latter would roll the huge boulders up the hill and lets them roll down back by himself, and it is a sight which he enjoys. From the Greek myth and from the Indian Keralite folklore, we have two characters who perform meaningless, irrelevant actions, which are repeated again and again, as people look at them with wonder, and many future writers would have them as part of their works.

These rocks have purpose. Death has purpose, but do we?

Sisyphus is someone who was punished to carry out the meaningless thing for eternity. Most of us are like that, because we are part of a thankless world filled with evil humans. We have to go on doing our meaningless work all the time until our drop of eternity, the life ends. Even when we often have the feeling that life is meaningless, there is nothing that we can do about it, for we are cursed and damned to live through this eternity which is called life, even though it is originally a journey towards death. We carry these huge burdens, and some of us become good enough to be called successful, but all is lost in the end. There can be no true meaning to these actions.

Naranath Branthan or the Madman of Naranam is another person who gets a huge boulder to roll all the way up, and then pushes it down. He has been called the mad man, but he is the man who realizes the uselessness of one’s actions. He is showing everyone around him that whatever they are doing is useless, but people only laugh at him and considers him as a crazy person who does meaningless things. People feel that what they are doing will matter, but the truth is that none of these are of significance, and at least the mad man knows that everything happens for no reason. What is the significance of a human being and his or her actions? Absolutely nothing.

We are all trying to find some meaning in life with our actions, but the realization that there is none won’t do us any good. This is the reason why people keep doing something or the other to forget the meaningless of existence. When life’s purpose is to exist until one dies, and death being the final destination, you cannot ask for too much in this life. The only hope is the afterlife, as people can do the good deeds and wish for a place in paradise. But in this materialistic world, people are only after money and fame, with no real act of kindness being performed on a regular basis. People have no compassion, and hatred has roots in the minds of people of this age.

Finding the silver lining in the cloud is a worthless task.

One might feel that the struggle itself is enough to make the life worth living, but this is not really a world which deserves us. It doesn’t matter how hard we try to make it a better place, the world will not change. The only option which is left for us to do nothing, or become as terrible as the world itself. Paulo Coelho, in his work had said that when you want something, universe will conspire to help you achieve it, a quote which is often used in different contexts without shame. Everyone knows that nobody will help you to achieve your dreams, and most people will only try to make it worse for you. The universe is like that, and this quote is another attempt to make us go for futile things.

Ralph Waldo Emerson had also come up with a similar quote earlier, but he lived during a time when there seemed to be immense possibilities – the present world is the most hopeless one, and any hope that this universe brings us is fake. One does keep wondering about how many more centuries will it take for humans to realize that none of these matters. One also has wonder how many days it will take for the humans to have their own pessimistic speakers to make people understand that none of these matters. There should be a time when all these motivational speakers turn pessimistic and inform people the truth, that there is no need for inspiration in a mundane world.

It is a bigger wonder that some people still feel that there is hope. The politicians know that there is none, which is why they try to make as much money as possible instead of just living with their already huge salary. They happily make life worse for the very people who elect them, and find happiness in such actions. The advertisements are where the celebrities tell lies about products after taking a huge amount of money, thus cheating their fans, while the salesmen continuously lies to sell their products. I would guess that at least these people know that there is no hope in this world, and therefore they should lie, cheat and steal till the end of their meaningless life, and it won’t matter to them if they are fried by the devil in the afterlife.

End of Life’s Meaning

It shouldn’t really take much time to realize that life has no meaning at all. The fact that people take so much of time to understand the same is the strange thing about it. Those who proclaim that they have found meaning in life are either living in a fool’s paradise, or are trying to make fools out of people. People should have at least understood the same after the floods or the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no real purpose, and we are just existing through this world of chaos because we were born, and are doomed for an inferno in advance before we get to see the real heaven or hell. We are now facing the third wave of a pandemic, and even the government do not want to impose a lockdown and stop the spread anymore. Everyone is indeed tired, and the vaccine is as useless as it can get.

There will always be those fake motivational speakers who will try to say otherwise. These people will come up with the examples of people who have fought against all odds and succeeded. But the truth is that this is not motivating, but depressing – the fact that even these people succeeded while you didn’t leads to the realization that you are worthless, and maybe it is the time to end your life. This leads to you stop searching for those so called motivational people and start searching for methods to commit suicide. Well, you just cannot get better through the inspiration provided by the lives of others, as no two people live the same life – maybe it is true in the case of celebrities who all seems to go through the same lifestyle.

Motivational speakers can talk about light in the dark, but darkness covers them all.

You cannot connect the celebrities to the meaning of life, as there is nothing that they will provide as a positive thing. It is still a wonder to see that we have so many people following the lives of these celebrities – can they be saying truth at any moment? Will people believe in the advertisements which they are part of? Is Boost really the secret of the energy of any cricketer from Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli? Hasn’t their performances come down after beginning to appear in those advertisements? Does Amitabh Bachchan eat so many Cadbury’s Diary Milk chocolates at this age? Did Mahendra Singh Dhoni use that matrimony website to find the person to whom he got married? Is any Bollywood celebrity using the soaps which they are advertising?

These days, it is often about one celebrity child having a Youtube channel. It could have been tik-tok, but thankfully, that one was banned to get rid of some of the irritation. The son or daughter of the superstar who is going to be the next superstar will have a Youtube channel, and the person would talk about what happens at his house, what all plants and trees are there, how many cats and dogs are around, and how amazing the family is. Well, the fans are basically brainless, and they would want to watch all the rubbish which is provided by these people instead of looking for genuine people with content. There is always the easy way to glory, and it is achieved by birth – for everyone else, life doesn’t hold that many promises other than genuine absurdity.

Most of the paths are not to be trusted. They can have some bad effects on you.

The case of matrimonials has been strange for quite a long time. It has been more bourgeoisie than the celebrities themselves, as everyone belongs to the rich, aristocratic families which even seems to predate Jesus Christ. Everyone is fair, hardworking and god fearing, with the display pictures photoshopped with a certain amount of skill. One should not be confused about all these suicides and murders happening with husbands and wives, because they were never really meant to be together. They might have started an account at a matrimonial website before finding a random person there, or to avoid this, they might have eloped together. Well, nowadays there are more suicides in love marriages, and that trend has also started.

There are only a few people who can be really successful around here, if you have not studied a professional course. You need to somehow get a government job or jump into politics – both seems to be having more and more scope these days. The other chance for success is to get away from here – it seems that there are more people whom I know in Canada than around here. From the United States to the United Kingdom, and then from Australia to New Zealand, the new favourite place to go and settle down seems to be Canada. It might be easier to ask who is not in Canada these days. Well, where did the other countries go? Are they not interesting anymore?

Well, if I had to go somewhere, I would go to Sri Lanka, Bhutan or some other place which has the same amount of tranquility. I could choose one of the Eastern European countries – Romania, Estonia or the others. I find the busy world which is associated with those much loved countries to be something that will contribute to that absurdity. It is difficult to live in a world which focuses on the monetary benefits and swallows the happiness in return for such benefits. They say that this is a competitive world, but it is not the kind of world that I would appreciate. If you are rich, you can have a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, a purely bourgeoisie concept, and otherwise, you can sit at home for most of the time, and hope for the expenses to come down. Lockdowns can do such favours, but the meaning of life is once again lost, as you journey towards the more meaningful death.

Living the Sims Family Life

I had earlier written about the game, Sims Mobile, and it has been going on very well, much better than any other games I had played on Android mobile. Well, Android has not been the favourite platform of the PC gamer in me, but nowadays, I use the laptop only for education purposes, and therefore, the platform had to change. I was also playing Empire City on Android, but I have finished building in all the available space, and there is nothing more to be done with it, but the same is not with the case of Sims Mobile, which always provides us with something to do. It can be played slowly, and according to the time we have to spare. There is no need to think too much about it, as the whole thing is just like we are living a family life, with the needs and objectives being the commonly known ones.

So, now I have bought a second home in the game, and with a total of twenty sims in two houses combined, and with four playable sims, it continues to be fun, even though I have finished all the available career options and hobbies in the game, undergoing a long wait for an update. There are also those interesting missions which come in between, which we can accomplish we have time. Otherwise, we can just go on playing freely. It is not mandatory to do anything in this game, even though the initial missions will help you to advance better. Below are some moments which which felt lovely, and those which could be shared. The screenshot option nicely did the job, and I have cropped these images to keep the focus at the right place.

This is an image of the new house which I built in the game after buying a new plot. I brought some of the furniture in the other house to this new one, and also brought some new ones. I created an open space in the middle because I wanted it to be different. This is a home close to nature, with a certain amount of divergence.

When there is a teddy bear in the house, you know where the toddlers would be focusing all the time. The areas is quite crowded, and there seems to be a plan to get closer to the teddy too. But the game doesn’t have the option for the toddlers to interact directly with this toy, and it is really a shame.

Now, this one comes as a Corona special moment, as this sim keeps washing her hands. At least there is one person in the house who is rather too careful. Well, with COVID-19 around the corner, you can never be careless. The game has its moments of care for its sims, as we are still going through the same pandemic in real life.

The happiest toddler in sims is the one that is fed. You can find the same here, and even though there is no particular time for the child to be fed or put to sleep, these can be done at regular intervals to build a happy relationship with the kid which will be useful when he or she grows up. Option for toddlers to ask for food needs to be added.

There is always time for some cooking. It is actually a hobby which one can keep up, and it is also one of the first ones which you are introduced to. The other options like writing and music will quickly follow, but this one can come up with the necessary equipment quite early. Sometimes, we can also find some cooking mess up too.

The duck toy is a favourite, and the toddlers in Sims Mobile love the same, and it is cute to see them play with this particular toy. Almost every toddler seems to have one of such toys with them, and this image makes one feel that one toddler is going to snatch the toy from another, but that doesn’t happen in the game at all.

The yoga hobby is a very effective one, because you can get most of the equipment for it at a low cost, and these mats looks nice on the floor. There are some nice movements in yoga which are being practiced here, and it is surely not like any other hobby in the game. I always prefer hobbies over career – after all, it is Corona time.

If the biological mother of the babies is spending her time working on the mobile, someone else has to do the job, and this time, two people have come ready for taking care of the little ones. The babies will surely have their revenge when they grow up. These two became toddlers quicker than anticipated, and never stops moving around.

No matter how old you are, you just can’t avoid a unicorn toy. It attracts the toddlers as well as the elder children, and one might even want to say a hi and talk to the toy. Well, direct interaction is needed in this case too, and Sims Mobile should add that and more options for toddlers and children. It can take something from Sims Freeplay.

Everything needs to be planned, and here, the sim is taking a perfect measurement of the shelf. Sims Mobile has got some nice things to buy for home, and if you keep playing the game like two times a day, you will earn enough to keep you going, buying new clothing and household items. You can take it slow, or you can pay for items.

Gateway to a New World

It has never really been out of fashion to go abroad to find a job, or to continue studies, and Kerala has had a glorious past related to it. We have such a huge number of friends and relatives abroad, and most of them have settled down there, or are planning to do the same. I have many of them who are living mostly in United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The difference is that those who are in Americas or Europe have not much of a plan to return to India, developing new roots in a new world.

Rootlessness might be the be the one problem that a lot of people might face during their new adventures abroad, and we have noticed the same in many novels and poems. In a new world, one can easily feel like an outsider – the barrier in the form of cultural differences can be quite natural. Being far away from one’s support network, and getting to be part of an unfamiliar world will be more than just a simple challenge. There will be the questions about what all actions are socially accepted, and food will surely mean confusion.

We all have our own journeys to make, far away, and settle down.

We will be more or less like insects or water bugs floating over rivers, with no roots. It will surely be different for everyone, and some people can adjust to this new world better and faster. But to get to that at a later point of time, passport validities, visa applications, country regulations, university and job acceptances along with others will be on our way. We will need to save a lot of money too, and that would depend on the country that we are planning to choose for our future.

Well, we have always known that studying or working abroad comes up with many problems, beginning with passport problems and English tests. Compared to some of the Indian languages and many others, English might be easier, but the non-native speakers can easily have problems as they try to get deeper into it. The problem that we have here is that most of us never really enjoyed our English during our childhood in schools, and our syllabus has had so many limitations. As English is a language that we don’t regularly use, it doesn’t help much either.

Pearson India will make sure that at least one step is smooth. PTE Academic is the world’s leading computer-based English test which is quick, flexible and secure. A three hour test session will be enough, with results available in five business days. There are PTE academic test centres located in more than fifty countries worldwide. In India, there are test centres at Kolkata, Ludhiana, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Nagpur. The centre at Coimbatore makes it easy for the aspirants from Kerala, making one say #DefinitelyPTE.

It also has a shortened and simplified test process. The three part test assesses speaking, listening, reading and writing efficiently. There will be questions related to answering short questions and essays, summarizing spoken texts, selecting the missing words, reading aloud, repeating said sentences, highlighting incorrect words, re-ordering written paragraphs, summarizing written texts and more. When a score alignment with other tests like IELTS and TOEFL are commonly attempted, PTE Academic is easier to check.

PTE Academic, as an English Language Test, is accepted by thousands of organizations all around the world, including popular institutions such as Stanford University, Harvard University, University of Liverpool, Durham University, University of Sydney, University of Manchester, University of Glasgow and Imperial College London – the names that say #DefinitelyPTE is rather more. The list of universities accepting the same, is only growing as each year passes. Instead of going for the regular options, one can safely say #DefinitelyPTE, and choose it as the right English Test. There is also the PTE Preparation Course which can be of help, with fine practice.

Health, Wealth and Strength

What a lot of people are worried about might be wealth, but what should bother them more is the concern about the health. There are surely a need to find the health, before we miss out on the same completely. Living in a busy world, it is really difficult to maintain one’s health, as there is rarely any time left for the same. Even when we have a holiday or two, there is always something else that comes to take away our time. Therefore, it is necessary that we come up with some idea to keep our life healthy, while not giving up on other things around us.

The one thing that I did without second thought is to keep bring vegetarian. It has surely helped to keep things in control. It made sure that I lost about eleven to fourteen kilograms of weight in a short period. There is something else that comes with being a vegetarian, and it is that we end up eating less. The fact that we eat more than we need is one of the reasons why we turn unhealthy. We think that we need more food, but the truth is that we don’t need that much, and this feeling that we need to have more and more is because it is the kind of food that we really love to have.

Well, this one stretches when there is the need, why don’t you?

Some regular exercise has always helped me too, especially with some badminton, and as long as we take every shot seriously, and play hard to earn every point, there is a lot of effort there, which will make sure that we don’t gain that much of weight. There might be other sports, but badminton becomes the easier and the most obvious choice as there is only need of two people, and less space. During those days when I used to have a lot of food, it was badminton that had kept me in shape – nowadays, it is the one thing that I miss the most and wish to get back to playing.

Doing some exercise at the same time as doing something else will also help the cause by saving some time too. I used to do some simple exercises while watching television, or some video on the laptop. It makes sure that no time is wasted in the name of exercise when we are struggling to keep things going due to the lack of time. Well, who has time these days – one has to wonder. Everyone is busy, and we wonder if some time later, people will just stop talking, and at some point will cease to recognize us, as we, our friends and relatives rarely meet.

An early walk or jogging can make sure that some of the health is regained or retained too. I used to walk a lot during my college days, as it also provided a certain chance of some exploration. If we have a large college campus, students and teachers do have that option easily, and we can always walk around the house, or apartments, and see the gardens or the surroundings, as well as talk to people. Having someone from the neighbourhood to keep talking while doing the same, will also be helpful. We see people taking that early morning walk together all the time.

There is one thing that we can avoid for sure, and it is to keep sitting at a place for a long time – it is quite common these days as people have to work in front of a computer the whole day. It is more or less sacrificing health when you look at it. Maybe, wealth seems to be more significant than health for many, but the question remains about where it would lead them. One would wonder what can happen without health, even if there is wealth. The loss of health in the name of earning money is not something positive, and it doesn’t matter what people say about earning more.

This one declares Badminton as her favourite sport! 😛

It is also the same reason why I left my job. My health was on the decline due to a job which had me sitting in front of a computer for the whole day. I finally decided to leave that job which had me stuck up on the same seat for the whole day including Saturdays and most of the public holidays. Now, I do feel better, both with my physical health as well as mental health. Maybe, I should have cared about my health much earlier. But it is better late than never, and hope everyone realizes the same soon enough too.

Welcoming Simona II

It has been more than one year since Simona left us, and we have all missed her so much. It was the time when everyone felt that she was going to stay forever that she had to jump in front of a moving vehicle. You know that from the earlier posts, as well as the posts on my social media that Simona has left the big impact, that much of an impact which have spawned so many blog posts as well social media posts in a small amount of time, along with those photos which are so much in number, filling up the hard drive.

There is something about the one cat that was the favourite of everyone in the neighbourhood. Her impact was so much that people wanted to wait in the queue to feed her – everyone surely misses her on their legs; there is no longer the cute little kitty hug, or the attempt to get into the house before you do. She was the skilled warrior who were catching the squirrels and rats along with regular murder of spiders, cockroaches and lizards. There was also the rumour that she could catch a few snakes, but the same couldn’t be practiced without the presence of a real snake.

Hello, I am the new kitten who owns this house. Feed me cat-food and milk 😀

Maybe so many insects cursed her just within a small time period, that she has to leave us – it was into their rather peaceful world that she decided to keep wandering into, very often. She was one cat that changed the world, and for the last year, there have been almost no cat in the neighbourhood except for one or two wandering around very less, including one big cat with one eye. It seemed as if the place was cursed by the cats, for there were only stray dogs around.

It was during one of those days, on a rainy day, to be exact, that this little kitten made its entry, and there was certainly the music of the rain to provide it a dramatic entrance. It had no hesitation to become the star, making enough voice to gather all the attention. It surely needed a home, and more than that, it needed the food and some love. What more can a lonely kitten ask for, on a rainy day with stray dogs wandering all around? Not many other things were on its list for sure.

This is the special pose that we people from tiger family do; watch with attention 😀

We decided to keep feeding her, and she decided to stay at home, outside on the verandah, just inside the table which is there to keep the newspapers and the pieces of cloth to clean the car with. At times, the home is changed to under the car which is the second shelter, but it is not a permanent solution for her, as it is not there all the time. Staying within the limits of home, she would grow up, and lets see how long she decides to live in her new home, and whether there is a change of place coming up when the rain stops at some point. Well, we can’t call her by any other name except Simona, thus making her Simona II or Simona the Second.

Among the creatures that are given special attention, it is the cat that deserves the most, and you understand the same when you look into their eyes – they need you, despite being from the family of many tigers. There are the dogs getting all the attention from one side and the cows from another, which leaves the other creatures without hope. As you should have read about in George Orwell’s Animal Farm, “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others” – the same couldn’t get more correct than during these days.

Well, the world does change doesn’t it? Some animals do have the chance to reclaim their spots at some other point of time. Meanwhile, we see that the cats are the real lovers of home, and let them protect your home, because it belongs to them too. Maybe, they would just bless our world because sometimes you look into their eyes, and they just seem to say that we are blessed to have them in our lives. I wouldn’t disagree to the same, if it is exactly what they are thinking.

Of More Love or Half of It

The sixth novel from Chetan Bhagat has its movie adaptation all set to release on 19th of May 2017, and the social media has been talking about it all the time. What it has done to our world is to provide the idea of a “half girlfriend”, or “half relationship”, which is expected to become an even more common term with the release of the movie starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Even though the term feels new, the basic idea of being more than friends, but not a girlfriend is not something new in an Indian scenario with the lack of clarity over the relationships between boys and girls.

It is even possible with the love stories that stand the test of time, as the same begins as something insignificant, becomes a relationship which can’t be named, and then goes on to become something more interesting. It is during this phase during which it becomes something that can’t be named, that we have the case of a half relationship, and it was always there with no name attributed to it. I remember more than one case with such a situation, related to friends, cousins, neighbours and from parts of those tales from schools and colleges which are told by someone we know.

Long ago, there were these two people, this boy and girl who competed for the first rank in the class. These two have been so strong with the evil subjects like Mathematics that one case of full marks in it pushed me directly to the third. I had always found them united in Mathematics, a quality which they had carried over to the higher classes. For me, Mathematics was a dangerous thing, and being united in it felt strange; there was no Romeo and Juliet in Mathematics, I had thought. But the way in which they competed and helped each other in the subject meant that they were so good in the subject and complimented one another.

I wished that I could score better in the languages, but the highest one could score for English was about five marks less than hundred, and a higher level of marks was not yet invented for Malayalam – my Hindi was only at the developing stage with new Bollywood movies being watched; so they held the top two positions for very long. By the time we were about to leave the school, all the students in the class were certain that there was something between them, a force which couldn’t be named, as the term “half relationship” was not invented yet – but the news just spread across the school, and everyone seemed to be confident that they were more than just friends.

Both of them found it quite easy to deny the same, and the girl could actually deny such an allegation with more ease – maybe the boy would have accepted it as truth if forced to, but the exams were approaching quickly and people went on with it. The two possible half lovers were not seen together much after that though, and some other girl who had half love for Physics and Chemistry had topped the class. There was not much heard about the Mathematics couple after that, and they finished further down in the ranks; most people blamed it on the tough Mathematics paper and the rest on a half relationship which was rumoured to be there.

Then, many years later, one day, while having Vegetable Puffs and Blackcurrant Shake at Navya Bakers which has been my favourite bakers for quite some time, someone called me by my name. The stranger told me that I hadn’t changed a bit from school, and I said to him that it is because I had shaved, and otherwise he would have to search for my face inside the beard. I also told him that whoever he is, has really changed, and I won’t be recognizing him without help. He introduced himself with a Mathematics problem, and even though I wanted to run away with the evil subject beginning to attacking me again, recognized him easily.

He was talking a lot about balancing the equation, and when the girl with him joined the conversation, I understood the fact – the Mathematical couple was together again; what was a half a relationship had become full in marriage. Well, that would solve their life’s equations with ease, I thought. They had found each other again while doing MTech again, and with her repeating for engineering twice, he had two extra years to get settled in life and ask for her and in marriage; the community and religion being the same, and the half equation had become full. I ordered one pista shake as his treat and wished them best of luck, and hoped that all which were half, would become full again – half girlfriend to full girlfriend, half lover to full lover, and all things finally complete with marriage. Even now, when I see the equations of Mathematics, I remember two special equations which went on to solve the problem themselves.

I am sharing a Half relationship story at BlogAdda in association with #HalfGirlfriend.

One Fairy-tale to Write

I watched as she opened that blank notebook, and I sat beside her under that zapota tree. It was the time after tea, and we had the river flowing by our side. She kept looking at each page of the book until she reached the back cover.

“There is nothing in this book. There is not even a single word or page number” she told me.

“Of course there is nothing. It is not supposed to have anything. A blank notebook was all that was supposed to be there” I replied.

“It should have what we need, right? Shouldn’t it be about our future? At least it should have something about our present life, don’t you think?” she asked me.

DSC03938

“No, it will have what we make of it, with our lives. We begin from here, and what we have will be our memories for flashback” I told her.

“What about our fairy-tale? We were creating the best of them all, weren’t we?” she asked.

“We write it down in this book. The pages begin where the prince gets his princess” I replied.

“And when the princess gets her prince. You know how important it has been for her” she added.

“Yes, when the two protagonists get each other” I said.

“I believe you were writing a Cinderella story. I now know that the princess is going to get her prince sooner than she expected – you need to complete that one” she said.

“I have come to the end of it, which is a new beginning” I told her.

“My fairy-tale intends to be a long one, and I can see that. This one book won’t be enough to contain even one percent of it” she remarked.

DSC02095

“I felt that on the 24th of July, and then again on the 24th of August. We will write them in our souls and bigger books” I told her.

“I have written a lot in my soul already, and I am sure that it has already been read by the one who matters the most. You know how deep the letters go into my heart and soul. So, are we watching that sunset?” she asked.

“Yes we are. It is why we are here” I replied.

We walked to the rock at the end of the cliff and saw the sun disappear behind the hills. I took out a pen and started writing on the first page of the book while she looked with a smile that was more beautiful than the sunset.

“What are you talking about? This is not in line with your usual posts. Who is this lady? I know that you are not engaged or married yet. I feel that there is something fishy” said the Vampire Owl.

“Soon, Mr. Owl, very soon, everything shall be revealed. There is no big mystery here, but a few things unknown for now” replied the Vampire Bat.

“You are keeping secrets from the vampire community, Mr. Bat. And I consider that to be a very dangerous trend that threatens our brotherhood. It even causes trouble for the thread that binds us” remarked the Vampire Owl.

“Well, you will know, soon enough. It is quite simple a thing, and tomorrow is the seventeenth, a big day” added the Vampire Bat as he disappeared into the darkness beyond the woods.

What Happens in Life

Six months have passed and this is the half-time for the year 2016. Well, I found that out just two days ago. The last six months have been the fastest part of an year in my whole life. I feel that I missed most of the days during these months, and that there is the need to keep writing down these days so that it won’t give me the feeling that I missed some of these. I have never really known the existence of some of these days because time has taken off with some super-powered wings.

These days, I have been thinking that there are just two sides to everything, and when we have free-time, people are just bothered about it, and when we are so busy, people are just not happy about it. These days, most of my time is spent in the office or in the traffic, and people have been asking about what I have been doing to be so busy. Well, even when I was not working, I did keep myself busy. These days, as I have a job, I am busy without any need to keep myself so.

Jpeg

There is something about starting from the city in a long-distance bus, and after one and half hours of traveling, you are still in that city. At the same time, you have traveled through so many pot-holes that you will feel that it is the time to retire. Meanwhile, the rain keeps coming down so hard that you have to keep the shutter down and be denied the view outside. To add to that, there is more water in the pot-holes than in the canal that runs in front of our home.

But things do keep happening, and leaving the confidential information aside, there has been the presence of a new car. Yes, finally got to my first sedan and the very first diesel car – this is also the first time I have gone for red. There has been a lot of traveling after that, even though the only day that I get to travel is a Sunday, with six working days on my list. As Id-Ul-Fitr was there, that came as some relief, and the next relief is to be on the Independence Day next month, and the month after that, Onam.

Jpeg

The number of movies I have watched at the theatres in the last six months is also at an all-time low for the last few years, as the movie count got stuck at seventeen instead of the fifty which I was planning to complete. The journey of the day that lasts from early morning to night has taken the movie time too, and I wouldn’t dare to remember the last time I watched the television – but that is really a good thing though; there was never something that good on the idiot box.

I have had good time with work, but things before and after work has been pretty much the trouble. There is that list of things which are to be done otherwise, and there are those extra things which are to be there as part of the contribution from others. Just now, I have managed to sneak in and get a stereo and the nitrogen filling for the car. The rain has made sure that I will have all the exercise I need with washing the car.

Jpeg

Maybe something interesting will come up in life outside work too! As some people say, there should be the right time for all of these; twists happen as they have occured on many occasions in my life. There have been a few interesting movies which I watched in the bus and reviewed though, including Kill Command, Deadpool, The Witch, The Boy, The Visit, Brooklyn, Sinister II, Knock Knock, The Vatican Tapes, Wrecker, Victor Frankenstein and Inside Out.

The Changes of Life

Life changes, and it was always expected to happen. Even after a change, that particular changed situation is also going to change. It is not something that I wasn’t expecting, but it did come all of a sudden, and it is actually a good thing. One more year without change and I might have been rather too hesitant to change – I would have detested it and might have tried to prevent it in all ways possible. But not now, as this change is something that I wanted long ago, even before I started this blog.

People still say that if you take a degree in MA English Language and Literature, you have to write NET and even try for JRF, and it is the natural path right ahead of you. They say that you have to follow this path or not do justice to what you have studied, and most probably you won’t get another job at all. I know that most of my friends have done that and the rest have gone on to do BEd and made the choice to do SET instead – note the difference, but I consider it rather minute.

If you look in our class, you can find a maximum of one person who hasn’t gone after NET or SET, and not trying to become the college professor or school teacher – I have made it two in that case, and it is the divergence that I have always wanted; with the master divergent movie Charlie winning so many of the state film awards, you might want the same too. Society has that idea that teaching in school or college is the better choice, especially for women, because they can reach home earlier, and there might be even many free hours – I know a few who have pursued the same for this reason.

I have walked around a lot these days through my favourite bus station!

I have walked around a lot these days through my favourite bus station!

Well, the case of post graduation in English has been rather strange. It is like the least professional course around here; you are not really preferred for most of the jobs out there. The newspapers and magazines ask for a journalism degree, and so I am glad to be part of a publishing house right now; it was getting seemingly impossible to get a job. Most people don’t even reply when an MA English graduate send a resume; they just don’t seem to have that idea that we are just readers and nothing else.

It is the same reason why me getting this job has been very significant. It has been the result of a long wait, and it is the same reason why I have broken my writing streak on my blog. If you remember, I have been writing continuously from December 9th 2014 to February 3rd 2016 – I continued for a few days after joining work, but it was getting tough with my timing as I start around 6:30 AM and return home around 8:30 PM – that is just the average, as I have reached at 7:30 and 9:30.

I have really less time at home, and so I have reduced my blogging just before reaching 500 posts on this blog, as this one is the post number 496. As of now, it seems that the 500th special post won’t happen anytime soon. But it might change some day, as the journey is just about 40 km even though it is the kind of a journey that can take about two hours, thanks to the pot-holes, traffic problems, change of timing of buses and the metro as well as fly-over constructions which are going on.

I travel through the bus station where I have passed through the most!

I once again travel through the bus station where I have passed through the most!

I have surely managed to be more used to it though, even as it still ends with me getting so much tired. I spend my time on the bus listening to music or watching some movie or television series in English. Well, at least I will have something to write about what I watch and the long journey which should actually finish in 45 minutes, but extends to two or even three hours based on which bus I manage to catch, and how many of times I have to change that giant transport!

Saving the Idiot Box

Even though television has managed to become the big star of entertainment overtaking its predecessors like radio, the internet hasn’t really become the substitute of television – not completely, and not yet. Even though some channels come up with the most pathetic programmes, television continues to survive, as it has become part of life. But this television, which is more of an idiot box, will need better programmes to survive, and I am coming up with such an idea here to save it.

During this season of terrible serials showing pathetic humans who hate each other, what people need is a regular dose of goodness and kindness. In each and every popular television serial, there is too much foolishness in store, and so much of hate is in store, and the same thing repeats for so many episodes. To remove this abomination, there has to be light, as it is the only thing that can get rid of this highest level of darkness. So removing the pitch-black will require new and a lot better programmes.

DSC08981

We need a new sunrise to make television better, by a long way!

The complete annihilation of the fake reality shows have to happen first, because on the ruins of the same, should the new programme be built. The ruins of such pathetic shows will make us remember how terrible these were, and it will serve as inspiration for new and better things. Reality shows and serials remain the big curse for the idiot box, and make sure that they remain the great idiot box. So, the new television programme which will replace these should just have good men and women; those who have made a difference.

There is no shortage of such people in India, and so running the show for an hour every day from Monday to Saturday won’t be a problem at all – we will only have more and more of such amazing people because there is such potential, as long as the whole new generation is not consumed by the evil of modernity in such a way that they are not lost forever. But in any situation, there will be one person or the other, making some difference, and we will be looking for such people to base our television shows on.

There are people who work for the poor without asking anything in return. The friends of the rich might not like them that much, and will brand them as having some other hidden agenda – they will abuse these people for their religion, caste or community, but it is the kind of people whom we should be focusing on. We should give absolutely no importance to the celebrities who feed on the blind affection and love of the common man – they are not heroes at all; the one who does his or her duty to fellow beings is the true hero.

We take any person who has worked for the upliftment of the poor – his or her religion and other details won’t matter, and the mistakes are of less significance, because that person is doing something which most of us won’t do. We are going through with our own lives and these people are doing something for the lives of others – it is a beautiful thing, which is why we will need an episode for one such person each and every day, except for maybe Sunday which can be left for the special programmes – ours is not special, but real and of daily life.

DSC03850

We should go on a new path with television; take a big turn!

An hour a day for six days at a time between eight and nine will be appropriate tribute to these people who spend their time and energy for the others, as they are the real heroes. They should be seen at the representation of India in the right way, and not the selfish ones – no actor, actress, model, politician, businessman, cricketer or anyone else who keeps earning so much money and appreciation from the nation, but provides nothing in return deserve a chance. We need television shows on the real great people!

Navigation: At Land of the Dead

At the land of the dead, the Vampire Bat, the Vampire Owl and Lady Death goes on a walk. There is a certain confusion about who is dead and who is not, considering the immortality clause to which the vampires are bound, and also concerning the limits of Lady Death’s domain, related to how far she can travel to collect the souls. As they navigated on the death-ship deeper into the lands, they come across the great sins.

Vampire Owl: Well, she is pretty; not simply pretty, but very attractive.

Lady Death: It is the first deadly sin. It has just taken the form of the lady which is now the default form, and is known by the title, Queen Lust. You shouldn’t fall for her.

Vampire Bat: But aren’t the sins supposed to be in hell, with the Devil?

Lady Death: Well, some places where I reside are also called hell, my dear vampires. Hell is a word, but reality has much more to it. I have myself converted many parts of the world into hell or much worse.

transyl (2)

Vampire Bat: I did guess that earlier.

Vampire Owl: I think that we should tell that guy on her side to stop eating. He is so fat.

Lady Death: Well, you can’t ask Mr. Gluttony to stop eating because without that, he really won’t live up-to his name. The person sleeping on the sofa on his right side is Mr. Sloth who is his best friend. You know that some humans only serve these two by eating and sleeping all the time. So, it helps to work together.

Vampire Owl: Lets go into that castle then. Is it really made of gold?

Lady Death: It is the home of Lord Avarice, known in your land as Greed. You don’t want to go in there. You will find all the gold there, but no food and no path that leads outside. In simple words, there will be no escape.

Vampire Owl: I was never really planning to go inside.

Vampire Bat: This journey is refreshing. All the sins are wandering around as if this is the world of true sin. You have a nice navigation device here.

Vampire Owl: Wait! Do I smell something burning?

Lady Death: Oh! That should be Mr. Wrath. He just hates everyone. I believe that he just got angry again and is burning a few more souls. He can’t help it.

Vampire Bat: Such violence that humans have in them and those inherited!

Vampire Owl: Oh my God! Is that person on the top of that tower of bodies trying jump from the top and commit suicide?

Lady Death: That should be Lady Vanity. She keeps boasting about something all the time. She just can’t stop telling everyone how awesome she is and how pathetic everyone else happens to be. Once, I listened to what she had to say, and I wanted to jump into the lake of the dead, but then I realized that as I am Lady Death, I can only float over that lake.

Vampire Owl: If any of your uncles are marrying again, I think that we should recommend this lady to them.

Vampire Bat: They will find her here when they are dead and buried.

Vampire Owl: By the way, do you see this lady who is stalking us from behind the walls of fire? She has been there for a very long time. What does she want?

Lady Death: Well, she is Miss Envy, known at the other side of the lake of the dead as True Poison. She keeps checking for all who navigates through the land of the dead. She wants to have everything that we possess. She is ranked number two in the Sin Quality Analysis after Lady Vanity. But I strongly believe that Miss Envy will gain the lead in the next century when humanity goes to the verge of extinction and there is not much to boast about for Lady Vanity. It is the time when Mr. Gluttony will cease to exist.

transyl (1)

Vampire Bat: Actually we can find all these people inside humans. When we go back, we should check and see how well these sins are working there.

Vampire Owl: Yes, there will be a minimum of one sin for each person in most cases. We have seen them all. I think that it is enough and we should stop the navigation.

Lady Death: Your will shall be done.

Horror Genre: Impact on Life

I have answered the questions about my favourite genres by adding something with the word “horror”. If you have been reading my blog, you might already know that I was always attracted to the genre of horror. It is also the genre which had the most impact on my life. Here are the results of the horror influence on my life, and it is why I need to watch more and more horror movies to keep recharging the impact!

I was very much not immune to fear during my childhood and the early days of reading horror. But that was only for a very short time period, as things changed, and horror was not really about bringing fear anymore. It was not about being scared. The whole thing became the reflection of entertainment. It changed my love for fairy-tales into a world of dark fantasy, and my life became different; unlike being the same as that of other kids.

cabinwoods (1)

Horror helped me to understand another important thing in life, which can be considered as the biggest impact that it has made on me. It made me realize that horror is just part of life. This dark side which forms an inevitable factor in human society, has to be embraced to accept that horror is real, and after that horror movies have been the path to knowing more of the truth in my case. Ghosts are real in one form or the other, and so is horror – I realized that with my relationship with horror genre.

Another realization came with the horror impact in the form of the thoughts about the presence of evil. I came to the acceptance that evil is part of our lives, and only by an extra dose of goodness that this evil can be kept away from our lives. The inherent evil in humans will come out at one moment or the other, and it is by understanding the nature of horror which has been created by evil or occuring naturally, can we be equipped enough to fight the battles.

There are horror movies which have told us that quick death is only an escape from pain and misery, as the world has too much of horror for a common person. Pain and suffering are just parts of the horror which are unleashed on us. The basic nature of the world itself is horror, as we look at those wars, terrorism and natural calamities. Easy death is rather a lucky thing, and considering the nature of the world around, death or the closeness to it can come in the form of horror and suffering.

Horror’s impact has also made me believe that ghosts are rather better. Humans are worse, and if we are to be killed, it is is better to have it done by the hands of some ghosts which are just tormented souls looking for revenge most of the time. Ghosts are not known to attack others of their own kind too, but it is not the case of humans. They have more evil inside, which is boosted by the materialistic world, and this means more horror from humans than the ghosts.

slasher (2)

I also provide you with some time to think about it. There are many genres from which you can choose your favourite. But is there a genre which is as close to life than horror? Can any other genre make that kind of an impact on life staying close to reality? I have found these genres like romance and science fiction as two big lies, both of these never really happening to the common man. But horror is everywhere – you will see something belonging to this genre everywhere, because it is that close to human nature; it is why you feel the impact better with horror.

2015 in Review

Happy New Year 🙂  [Official] 😀

The WordPress.com stats helper zombies prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog. According to Uncle Dracula, the Vampire Team has worked harder than he thought in order to make it more popular among the humans. He would like to thank all the readers on this blog and has promised to provide vampire shares when the New Vampire World takes over the realm and bring the New Utopia into existence. He would make a request to all of you in order to pray for the same. Btw, the Vampire Team hopes that you have watched Charlie, the movie of Christmas 🙂

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 81,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 3 days for that many people to see it.

Click here to see the complete report.

The Tales of 2015

Another year is coming to an end, and 2015 has been a different year – all years have been different frome each other, even though nothing huge happens with life, and whatever happens, things just go back to nothingness which has been part of my life. 2015 will also have its own tales which the year doesn’t want to share with 2014 or 2016. There will be something different each and every time making the years not the same. It was better defined when we were in school or college as each year had something special; but now we have to think more to find those events.

Maybe the best or the worst of the year are yet to happen, but as of now, the best moment was winning the passes for the India Today Conclave at Delhi with BlogAdda. It should be my best win ever at any stage, and that happened with the post The Vision of a Lost Bat. I did go to attend the conclave where the main talkers were Sachin Tendulkar, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Lisa Haydon, Viswanathan Anand, Chetan Bhagat and others. It was a great experience for me and it also made sure that I should blog more, and I would credit BlogAdda for that motivation to write more.

Well, I have written at least one post on every day of this year in this year, and I am still continuing that trend which I hope that I never have to stop soon. 2015 also had many other contest wins for me, and I would call it a rich year which has inspired me to write more and more. 2015 has made me realize that I should do many things, but the one thing that I should always do is to blog, which is why I bought the domain for Movies of the Soul, about which I feel very good. Until 2014, I was only a blogger who wrote something when I had time, but now I find time for writing each and every day, and I shall carry this over to the next year.

When waterfalls are around, rocks become more of a thing of beauty, right?

Life just keeps hitting the rocks, doesn’t it? But there is always hope.

But there is one big New Year resolution which I really need to make with 2016 right around the corner. In 2014, I fell short of watching 100 movies in the theatres with the final count at 89, and this year, it is at 81 so far, and it seems to be all prepared to end before touching the nineties too. So, in 2016, I want to get it to one hundred movies like I watched 109 of them at the theatres in 2013. I need to take the pledge to be more consistent with this; the problem with this year was that we shifted home and I prepared for some of the PSC examinations. But now I believe that I should keep my movie world alive with the rest too!

I also hope to get a job next year, and it has been the Mission Impossible for me this year. I had sent a huge number of resumes this year at various e-mails, but only a few of them replied and only an even lesser number gave me an appointment. It is a hope which I really need to provide the wings because the relatives are becoming more and more violent every day – the salaries of the cousins are getting higher and they are getting married to rich people which brings a lot of contempt on me. I really need to get somewhere to come up with a direct reply.

Somehow, this relative problem has to be dealt with – we call it The Relative-IT Theory about which I have already written a long time ago. Surrounded by the relatives who are always trying to boast about the salaries and bank balance of their children along with the acres of land and the properties which the children’s off-springs own, will only get worse next year. They will get richer and I will get older in 2016, and so the only precaution to be taken here is to be prepared for those words of vanity, but try to avoid them as much as possible. I have also prepared a few dialogues in case of an emergency situation.

The Chinese fishing nets - you will keep seeing them.

So, you are on this boat to 2016 – lets go through the troubles.

The biggest hope is to become a better person than I am now; but that is going to be complicated because when I get older, I don’t get any stronger. Still, I hope that the upcoming year will bring something better. We have thought in a similar manner about other years too, but this time, Lets think that 2016 is going to be different. Maybe we can take life as one year at a time. The world might be the same anyway, but we can change and above all, we can hope. After all, it is something which costs nothing. May the year 2016 be better than 2015, and lets wish for the best to happen!

I’m sharing my #TalesOf2015 with BlogAdda.

Special Class: Great Traditions

Vampire Hamster: Greetings, my dear fellow vampire appendicitis, and I welcome all of you here.

Vampire Crocodile: Wait a minute! Did he just call us appendicitis?

Vampire Alligator: On some occasions, that is also true.

Vampire Panda: I would have been surprised if he had managed to get that one correct.

Vampire Bat: It is apprentice, Squire Hamster.

Vampire Hamster: Oh! I apologize! Yes, my dear fellow vampire apprentices, you are welcome to this special class on the “Great Vampire Family Traditions” which will taken by the Vampire Owl and watched over by the Vampire Bat.This will be the final class before the tea party.

transyl (1)

Vampire Owl: Good evening, students. I hope your coffins are all in good condition and you are enjoyed the darkness inside there. I would like to begin with the most important tradition that we follow here, which the humans never know about. It is called respecting each other ass a person, no matter from where and from what background the other person comes from. This has been a part of the great vampire tradition.

Vampire Crow: I know that very well. The humans disrespect crows every day. They don’t even have wings, and still they do this. I often wonder how evil they would have been if they could fly and had my special colour.

Vampire Penguin: They think that I am cute, and that is the most disrespectful thing.

Vampire Owl: Then there is the tradition of drinking tea. The artificial blood chemical mixed into tea makes the drink a usual part of our tradition. It was introduced for us with the second stage of the New Vampire World, but the roots go back to the Old Vampire Isles. This way, we remain mostly vegetarian.

Vampire Crocodile: The tea is my favourite. When we mix this tradition with the crocodile tradition of Lake Placid, it makes clear that the crocodiles need more tea than the others.

Vampire Panda: That makes no sense. We are from the Kungfu Panda tradition. We need more tea for more energy to practice martial arts.

Vampire Bat: Silence! The individual traditions will be dealt with during another class. This one will be on collective vampire traditions only.

Vampire Owl: Well, you know the tradition of not living according to the advice of the society. It is the elders of the realm and some people who call themselves professionals that keeps telling us that we have to do something and nothing else; that we are not capable of anything else. We have worked hard on this, but we haven’t been able to achieve this like our predecessors did. Still, we will keep trying, and soon we will achieve perfection in this.

Vampire Penguin: I have forgotten the happy feet dance completely. I am good at that.

Vampire Panda: And in my case, the noodles making procedure. I don’t even eat noodles these days.

Vampire Bat: That is once again not part of our class and discussion. Kindly listen to the class. There will time provided for asking questions.

Vampire Owl: The grand tradition is to respect our history which has defined us and made us what we are now. It lives in us and it shall live through us. We have gone through the times of trouble and fought big wars, but all of us have come out of them stronger and with better understanding, having further care for each life and all that defines us, which has been proven to be very important.

Vampire Bat: And that is my personal favourite.

Vampire Owl: And our final and the most important tradition, to live in harmony with nature, not to exploit it, but to do whatever we can for conservation. We shall return to nature the love that it has provided us, at least in parts. This is a tradition which we intend to teach the humans soon because they are the only creatures who have absolutely no plan of respecting nature.

Vampire Bat: That finishes the lecture.

Vampire Hamster: I believe that will be all from the class, and now we are open to questions and some discussion.

Three Simple Words

Vampire Bat: Okay, the first person to start this round is the Vampire Owl from my left side.

Vampire Owl: Oh! You mean to say that I have to say three of my favourite words right now.

Vampire Bat: Yes, it is how this whole thing works. This is also a game which we can play once in every week.

Vampire Owl: But I have no idea where to start. I have never been good with this type of ideas. I don’t play such games either.

Vampire Hamster: Let me say then, sir. I am ready to come up with mine. You will surely like them. There are vampires, zombies and undead as the three…..

transyl (1)

Vampire Bat: No! Your turn will come. Don’t talk now. I hate it when vampire apprentices try to intervene early.

Vampire Crocodile: I told you that this game is turn-based. Like the games Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic and Disciples: Sacred Lands. You are just not playing enough computer games.

Vampire Owl: Do you know how difficult this is for me. I could use a clue.

Vampire Bat: Okay, I will provide you with one myself. You can add this as the first letter on your list. Tea.

Vampire Owl: What? Tea? Why would that be so?

Vampire Bat: Well, tea has been part of our lives for quite a long time. You should have read all my tales related to tea. We have always had some good time with tea, and it is the one true elixir of life. It has defined my childhood with its taste, and I have had more tea than ice cream even as a kid. Just don’t tell Uncle Dracula because he will only talk about blood, but this is the truth.

Vampire Owl: That was some nice description. Tea should keep its greatness as the one grand drink. Now, I will require two more words. Here is my first word and the second of the series. Death.

Vampire Bat: Death, yes related to Lady Death, isn’t it? The one who has refused to see you for so long? I didn’t think that you would like to choose this one; otherwise I would have given a better clue earlier.

Vampire Owl: No, not directly. Yes, the Lady Death influence cannot be denied because she is always present everywhere. Even when she is not known to be with me, she is there; she is with us all. She knows us all and she can easily predict where most of our actions are leading us. Death does have an existence also without its personification.

Vampire Bat: You mean, as the great leveler, the one who brings equality to a world where everyone considers the other as inferior. There are not many problems that death cannot solve. What lies under the tombs shall always be the same.

Vampire Owl: Yes, and the talk about tombs bring me to the third word – Graveyard which is an extension of death. That makes it three; tea, death and graveyard. This should finish my role in this game.

transyl (2)

Vampire Bat: Yes, graveyard has had a special place for us throughout the history. I don’t see why can’t it become a favourite word. It has always been the place where things became better and there, all sufferings end. There is no better location which has given quality resting time.

Vampire Owl: It has also played a big role in the battles which were fought there, most of them being won by our kind. It has the record of being a lucky place for us, and it is approved by my zombie minions.

Vampire Bat: The zombies will surely find it the best word ever. But it is still not as powerful as death with all its glory. Graveyard needs death; more and more of it. May be the angel of death will bring more.

Vampire Owl: In the end, it all comes to death, the end of the story of lives, and it is undoubtedly the best word ever.

Vampire Bat: But for a lot of us, life is death and vice versa. Most of us never really live and we all die in the end. There are not many things which can equal living a dead man’s life with its melancholy.

Significance of Death

Vampire Bat: Good morning, my dear vampire apprentices; welcome to the second day of the second stage of this week’s vampire syllabus. I hope you loved the last class about Lies and Hate from the Vampire Owl because he has told me that he enjoyed discussing the topic with you. It will be me in charge of today’s classes. I will be taking four hours continuously and after that you can have the blood lunch. I know that you can take it because it is better than Uncle Dracula taking care of the whole day’s hours. The topic won’t be the typical vampire stuff though. This will be the external elective subject and we have chosen the Death Theories from Lady Death after the voting; the choice just seemed too easy. You will find newer ideas from this class, no matter how much you are interested in it.

Vampire Alligator: This is going to be an advertisement for Lady Death and her Death-care supplies. I feel that Vampire Owl is behind this. He was always obsessed with Lady Death and Vampire Bat with her evil twin sister.

Vampire Crocodile: Inspiration to follow death’s way. That should be interesting. We should take down extra notes.

Vampire Crow: But we are immortals. We can’t follow Lady Death just like that. Death has his limitations in exploring vampire immortality.

transyl (2)

Vampire Bat: We live as immortals. But the Death Theories from Lady Death give us the opportunity to check this from another perspective which has been absent from the usual vampire life. We have to think about how humans find death, and how our giving up of immortality reflects the same. A lot more concentration will be needed, but I am sure that all of us will go through this new perspective in the way it is supposed to go.

Vampire Raven: So, we simulate death right now, with possibilities of giving up the immortality coming up later.

Vampire Bat: Exactly. Lady Death has clearly stated this as part of her Death Theories. The first point in favour of death is that it doesn’t look for one’s religion, caste, race or economic status while taking lives, and with all dead in the same manner, souls are also taken care of according to the good and evil which they have committed in their lives. She has also added that there is a provision to divide between the two. She is the one who provides the best kind of poetic justice while humans are never fair.

Vampire Crow: But we don’t have such divisions. I guess this is for humans only. It is depressing that they don’t have this in their huge lists of syllabus. It is up-to us to do this then.

Vampire Bat: Yes, and we are to look through their eyes. If you read what the humans write these days, there is too much praise about their own religion. They can’t look through the eyes of others, but thankfully, we have that ability. They will continue to justify their actions saying that people from other religions have done that evil, or that they did that like that centuries ago just because they want to justify their actions now. But Lady Death has given instructions not to hate them, because they are either murderers or inspiring murders, thus providing her with more souls. It consistently saves her from the soul scarcity. Without souls, there will be no Lady Death.

Vampire Crocodile: But we are beyond such divisions. We need to activate our special ability to look from the perspective of these humans. Werewolves, zombies, goblins and orcs are less twisted, and it is easier to the see from their viewpoint. They don’t cause divide among themselves.

transyl (1)

Vampire Bat: Yes, we will meditate more in peace related to the same later. Coming to the second point, Lady Death has made it clear that there is the need to escape all these troubles and hatred of this world. Here, good things are not rewarded, and evil only reigns supreme. But she has promised that it will surely be better in her world, and that those with problems should go and embrace her. She says that there is no point in continuing in this world which will end by itself or with your death. So, the question is about why one shouldn’t people embrace it early enough?

Vampire Alligator: That is actually a fair point. Even the absent Vampire Hamster would like this.

Vampire Bat: There is also the promise of happiness and goodness which are absent in this world, especially that of humans. I am sure that it doesn’t exist in this one, but Lady Death has promised them all. Without the haters, abusers, fascists, extremists and the vain people I don’t see how it can’t be better in the other world. She will roast them in the pan and we will live happily ever after. Fair isn’t it?

Vampire Crocodile: I don’t see anything better!

Official Prayer Time

Vampire Owl: My dear vampire brethren, lets take this opportunity to spend some time in prayer. We know that you are attacked by the evil forces from both outside and inside, and there is the need for prayer to get rid of them. Even as we are basically immortal, we are going to be under the same law according to which God has created humans, angels and devils. So, each of you rise and say this prayer which will be helpful in feeling the truth of life, and it is also helpful to those who are not here with us. The credit for this particular edition goes to the Vampire Bat.

“Thank you God for waking us on this day. It is a beautiful day. Life still seems to have no meaning, but there is a lot of time for finding the existence of that meaning; as much as you allow it. So bless us on this day by getting rid of those relatives who have become the shadow of worthlessness on us. It might be a difficult task because they pretend to pray a lot, and while doing the same, they end up as actually giving some prayers. But as you can see into their hearts, it will be quite easy for you to come up with a decision; you know their souls and the darkness in them. We are also seeing through the murkiness.

HT (1)

I hope that you will start by putting some effulgence in the minds of those uncles who are always boasting about their children. We have always been friends with these people because they were our cousin-brothers and cousin-sisters. But the relationship has been going awry and might reach a state of pitiable disaster unless something is done about the ridiculous talk done by these uncles. There is so much boasting of their own children and the degradation of the others going on around that it will only bring a radical animosity among the cousins. After all, there is a limit to everything.

We also love the fact that our cousins have come up with good achievements, whether it is about getting a job with a high salary, buying some new asset, having a respectable position in the society or marrying an incredibly rich person. It is always good to have friends and relatives at high places, and we are only proud of them. But the problem comes when these uncles who make the vain father figure, comes to attack us for not having what their children got. By degrading us and praising their sons and daughters, they create that cloud of acrimony which stays and only gets worse as time passes.

The advice that they provide is even more unendurable, as it is absolutely clear that they know nothing about us or what we have studied. With their pathetic knowledge of the world except for the little well in which they live with their tailless amphibian kind of contacts, they come to our homes to provide their nonsense. As we are not against good advice and positive opinions, we sometimes get fooled and end up agreeing to it, and the result is that our situation gets further worse. We just can’t help it and we really needs to be saved from them and their pathetic advice which they force upon us.

HT (2)

It is from these shameless people that we need to be saved, O Lord. It is from this situation that we need redemption, unless it is indirectly a part of our absolution. We haven’t known these in the form of concomitant worries in the path of our life, dear Lord. So, please save us from the iniquitous environment that surrounds us, for it devours any kind of effervescence that we are struggling to keep for ourselves. We are unable to keep ourselves away from the perpetual trepidation that surrounds us and refuses to let us go. We need to escape, but we don’t want to run away.

We are not asking for too much, O Lord. Just make sure that these uncles stay with their lovely children. Take them to their sweet, innocent off-springs for at least one week a month or three months an year. It will be better if you take them and keep these people there for their sweet little eternity. If their children are so awesome, the parents should also be with them and show us the example of a perfect family. Without doing that, staying away from them and the children rarely coming home, they have no right to criticize those sons who stay with their parents and a family taking care of each other. Isn’t this the deadly sin of envy, my Lord? Save us from these deadly sinners”.
