An Eternity in a Journey

I need to pass through the bubble. It has been four hours since I reached here. Vagamon is one of the most beautiful hillstations despite it being very easy to reach here from Cochin and its satellite towns. The idea is to take the leap of faith, and it is not just a figurative thing, as literally it remains the same too. The bubble is located far below the suicide point, and the leap had to be perfect. Otherwise, the rock below would have something special to say, and it won’t be beautiful. These rocks had a say between life and death, as they are known to have decided the fate of everyman more than once or twice.

How can someone trust a necromancer with something that is beyond your ability for willing suspension of disbelief? When was the last time a necromancer desired for the betterment of a human being? If I was a creature of darkness, it wouldn’t have caused me any trouble in instantly believing in this. If he was a regular mage, this wouldn’t have been so difficult. But something had to be done, as every second lost in this world will count as a day in what lies beyond the bubble. It has to be the portal that connects the two world. This happens right now or it can never happen. I am taking this chance.

Finding a new world is always difficult, and this one is the closest to nature

I could feel that I am falling into eternity, destined to continue this forever. The fall felt to be very quick, but I could see beautiful castles and meadows on both sides, and occasionally the scenes changed to something darker, with thunderstorms over the ruins of some old buildings. The fall stopped half an hour later, and I could find myself on a smooth surface resembling water. It was not really water as it was solid. It was not really ice as it was incredibly soft. I made my way to the sands on my left side, and after I set my foot there, the surface turned into water. I walked further to meet the same necromancer channeling certain energy into his orb.

The necromancer explained the idea of having this realm parallel to our own. It had to be the utopia which could exist and take all those people who can live in harmony with nature. Below all those meadows, there were houses which were completely made out of living trees and plants. There was only a little bit of metal being used in there, and it was the kind of material which seemed to strengthen the trees. All the vegetation grew in such a way that it was supposed to support the homes as the humans tries to keep the environment intact. The relation here was symbiotic.

There is no lack of beauty with nature staying close to humanity

I left him to wander around the newly discovered place. There were so many wonders of nature all around that small space. I could see aurora in the sky as green lights on the sky reflected the greenery on the meadows. Surrounded by an unknown river on all sides, the place had its own waterfalls and the increasing flow of water kept many waterwheels moving. Along with the same, the wind energy was used with help of those windmills on the top of cliffs and solar energy seemed to taken in using a certain device in the form of an obelisk. The transportation was through ropeway which had car-like things hanging on them.

I noticed that there were two suns on the horizon. I came across the necromancer again, and he told me that it is a natural phenomenon. The portal transports one to that corner of the galaxy which has been unknown to all known alien life forms. It was a few warlocks who found this particular place while exploring their skills of teleportation. One had to go for the #BlindList each and every time to travel all the way here. One also had to #SayYesToTheWorld, to that kind of a world which opposed modernity and its exploitation. Then there was the need to take the leap of faith, where almost all rationalists failed.

It was like being invited on a blind date. To travel to a place you know nothing about, for an experience you have no clue about, has never been something designed for the brain – it was always about the heart and soul. In a world of chaos, people can’t be open-minded enough to say yes. Compared to the #BucketList which has known wishes, #TheBlindList is the one thing that goes a step forward. At some point of time, we have to go for this list, and there is the need to explore more, finding that perfect place which is “magical”, figuratively or literally. The traveler in us asks for the same. Be openminded, #SayYesToTheWorld now and begin the exploration!

Twilight of the Gods

As a part of the Norse Mythology, this twilight which is more known as Ragnarok includes a number of future events including the death of major gods including Thor, Loki and Odin – not really a happy chain of events for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There will be a great battle between good and evil, and in the end, a new world will arrive. This is not something that is uncommon among most of the religions of the world too, and it should work as if it is a well known thing.

A part of many Scandinavian works including Poetic Edda and Prose Edda, this twilight is something that is expected to come sooner or later. There are things that speeds up such events, bringing more need to such events. Scandinavian mythology might not be interesting for everyone, but these events, in its full strength, cannot be ignored as humans are striving towards going towards that end. After all, almost everyone loves Thor and Loki, thanks to what Marvel has brought to the cinema.

Yes, we are speeding up the wheel of time as if it is our private property, which means that our time will be limited. We have been infecting our world with matters which are not needed, and taking ourselves down from the better state we have achieved through centuries of knowledge and wisdom brought to us by great people. We are coming down from our respected status, and there are things that contribute to the same, most important of them being a certain amount of uncontrollable lust, which leads to pre-marital sex.

The new generation thinks that it is just too cool, and it has lead to Bollywood also supporting the same. Well, Bollywood has been acting out of its mind for years now, looking only to find ways to make money. They always keep finding new lows to achieve in film making. The question remains about what the new generation attitude achieves. There is no such thing as being “cool”, and it is just part of the many freaky things that the new generation has come up with. We can be pretty sure that they will come up with more, but pre-marital sex surely is not even worthy enough to be categorized into the “cool” category.

Rangarok: you can't stop it, but may be the event can be delayed.

Rangarok: you can’t stop it, but may be the event can be delayed.

The end of the world is just a situation which is waiting to arrive in more than one form. It can be initiated in many ways, and one of them is our loss of morality, and the most saddening thing is that India, with its rich and respectable culture and traditions is losing it. When we think that it is the same thing that has lead to the Western civilization losing its power, I would say that it is an alarming situation, as India has stayed there in between all this development, holding on to its traditions and values. It was something that gained respect, even as some people won’t accept it.

May be the events like Kiss of Love happens to be one step towards this Ragnarok, as something emotional is brought to the camera like porn. Even as there are some good intentions behind it, one has to feel that the end results of that movement is not going to be positive. Can’t they go and kiss the orphan children and the parents abandoned by their sons and daughters? Wouldn’t that be a better Kiss of Love? What we need to hold on to, is our traditions more than anything else. No, I am not supporting any political wing in this case, but it is what can help us thrive; otherwise there is not much difference between humans and animals, as people keep asking for more and more freedom everyday to go outside morality.

This blog post was written as part of the contest at Indiblogger in association with Poonaam Uppal’s True Love – A Mystical True Love Story, a book I am longing to read myself. The question was about Yes or No to Pre-Marital Sex, and the answer, as you can see here clearly, is a big no. May there be wisdom among the youth of India, and let humanity prevail with goodness and true love instead of just lust and infatuation. *The images used in this blog are from Constantine’s and Ragnarok’s wikipedia pages and the official Facebook page of Poonaam Uppal (https://www.facebook.com/LoveDivaPoonaam) respectively. I suggest you check her book on True Love too.

Bedroom, Kitchen and Tea

I would not consider my life complete without a laptop, my books and the tea close enough to each other and to me, ready for a taste whenever I need them to. It was more of a basic need than just one of those few things which I wanted a lot. Due to the same, this new room which I have managed to convert into something different is very important to me. This hybrid which I have come up with, is one of the few things that I wanted a lot; the bedroom – kitchen combination. Note that this blog itself has tea as its central idea 😀

We moved to our new place just about one and half months ago, and there was the question about which room I wanted among the four with locks. As the ones below was best suited for the parents, I was left with the two on the second floor. One of them was a complete bedroom with cupboards and the other one was the former kitchen used by the tenants. Now, you can easily guess which one I had chosen.

Half bedroom and study, half kitchen - how it works

Half bedroom and study, half kitchen – how it works

Yes, I managed to choose the kitchen without much difficulties. It was the larger room because it was created from the open terrace space which was closed and made into the kitchen a few years ago. There was a lot of space there, and was undoubtedly the largest room in the house after our main hall. I am sure that not many people appreciated that choice though, because it was after all, a kitchen.

Just a view of the room from another angle

Just a view of the room from another angle

Many people did wonder if I live in a kitchen, but I have gone a long way beyond that question. There is the bed, a big almirah made of wood, the writing desk, a drawer unit, a steel stand, two chairs and a few other things which became part of the room. The cupboards of the kitchen were left as it were, only replacing those parts which had become old, with the new parts which looked the same.

People had asked me to destroy the cuboards and the kitchen sink, but I had said no. Why destroy something which can be so positively used? It is easy to destroy something, but a lot of effort would be needed to build something. It is a lovely kitchen, almost as good as our rebuilt one on the ground floor, at least in the looks. It would be a shame to destroy the useful stuff when so many people in our country can just hope for a home.

The types of tea that I am testing these days :D

The types of tea that I am testing these days 😀

So, I decided to divide my room, with the area from the sink to that end as my personal kitchen and from this end to the beginning of the sink as my study and bedroom. There is not really much cooking going on there though, as there is just the electric kettle which I use to make tea and enough hot water to drink. There are a few biscuits, tapioca chips, milk peda, potato chips, banana chips and similar stuff to have with tea, and thats all – but I am open for more in future.

My former room - had it painted in my favourite colours

I have made maximum use of the cupboards by putting books in the top ones and clothes and miscellaneous iteams in the ones below. The room at our earlier apartment was supposed to be just the regular bedroom, smaller and not able to take everything in. But this one has turned into a perfect room for me. I am self-sufficient with water, tea, books and the internet. What more do you need? May be I will invite the cat in and a few plants – lets see 😀
