Timeline of My Mobile Phones

Nokia 1100 (2004): I remember my first mobile phone being this basic model, and during those days, were really happy even with models like this one. I have heard about people beginning their journey with mobile phones through Nokia 3310, but I never really came across that particular mobile during my 1100 days. My first mobile network connection was that of BPL Mobile Network, which had some nice offers for that time, and I had spent my time sending those forwarded SMS and usual simple games like Snake. Well, that felt like the luxury which I had never before, and that did take some effort to get this phone.

Nokia 3220 (2005): Well, Nokia 1100 was the basic mobile phone, and time was coming for the need for a certain replacement. After one year of usage, the phone was replaced by a mobile which looked stranger than most of the other phones which were popular during the time. When I bought this phone, nobody really had something like this – a weird mobile phone with lights on both sides, and these lights were blinking whenever a call came. Well, you won’t spend even a little bit of time trying to find this phone during a power cut, as it could be seen from anywhere at home. It was also my first camera phone.

Nokia 6600 (2006): The lightweight phone with LED lights lasted only an year for me, as it had its own limitations, and a phone with full multimedia facility was required. It was the phone which defeated all Sony Ericsson mobile phones which were in competition with Nokia during the time when Samsung was never really there. It was heavy and highly durable, and dropped on the ground never really hurt it in any way. With the Symbian Operating System, and so many options being possible, it had given me an advantage over almost every other phone out there in the hands of the other students.

Nokia N95 (2007): I never really had any problems with Nokia 6600 which was considered to mobile phone at a high level, but my cousin from United Kingdom gifted me a Nokia N95, and Nokia 6600 had to step away. This phone was a legend during the time, and with an amazing camera for the time, and with so many options, I was an immediate fan of the phone, which could match the digital cameras of the time. I would also consider it to be the best mobile phone I ever used in comparison to the contemporaries, and even though it stopped working a long time later, I have kept it with me as a memory.

Samsung Galaxy Star Duos and Samsung Galaxy S Duos (2011/12): These two phones came one after the other, and the second one came to me after my father bought a mobile phone, and he didn’t want to use it as it was too complicated with the Android system. Even though N95 was the phone which I used during my journeys to England, Scotland and Sri Lanka, these Samsung phones were part of my life in UC College, Aluva. They brought some fine pictures of the campus as I spent my time wandering through the green campus, especially the side of canteen and library, during the time of post graduation in English.

Asus Zenfone 5 and Asus Zenfone Max (2015/2017): The former became my first experience of buying a mobile phone online, and latter became my second phone to be bought online, the first one from Flipkart and the second one from Amazon. I loved both phones, as I have always been a fan of Asus. I also have an Asus laptop at home which has been working well for many years now, and another laptop from the same company which has served me for more than two years . If it was available in the local stores, I would have bought Asus again. It during the same time period that I bought a Swipe 3D tablet which is still working.

Samsung Galaxy J4+ and Samsung Galaxy A20S (2019/2020): I decided to shift to the local stores with my mobile buying procedure, as some extra service could be attained in that way. The former was bought because the Asus phone required more space, and it was also becoming slow, despite the huge battery giving the advantage. But with the COVID-19 crisis, online classes and webinars required better phone, bringing A20S to the picture. J4+ was becoming slow with bigger meetings, and thus, A20S, my current phone was bought during the COVID-19 lock-down, when mobile phone shops were allowed to open once in a week by the government.

From Oblivion to Blades

I remember The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to be a game which had no match during its time, and being a rather unknown computer game in comparison to the others, it was a case of luck that I came across it. Bethesda Game Studios came up with this open world RPG in 2006, and it was bigger than any other game at that time. There was so much to be done in this game, and I had finished the game quickly enough. There was so much of freedom in that game that we never really stopped playing it. One year later, there was Mass Effect which did almost the same thing, only in space instead of a medieval world of swords and magic. It is to this memory that The Elder Scrolls: Blades came up for Android, and my Samsung Galaxy A20S had the perfect game for these times, a game which can be played in both landscape and portrait modes.

We don’t usually see the advertisements for this game on social media, and that is because it is something which doesn’t require such cheap and fake show. We can see that established games like The Sims and The Elder Scrolls series are perfect in their own way, and fans will come after them. One should find these games instead of falling for those fake games with advertisements on social media, which have the real gameplay entirely different from what is shown on those ads. The Elder Scrolls: Blades is a perfect game in that case, and we have a hero who comes as a saviour to a town which is threatened by multiple enemies including, bandits, sorcerers, goblins, trolls and more. We will find or create and reinforce weapons and armour, along with create magic potions, while taking on some quests during our journey to save our people.

Love, Selfie and Others

The first grand thing, the celebration of 365 days of love had passed for us. But that doesn’t really mean anything when we look deep into it. It takes more than a year to fall in love with the same person whom you had married, again and again. The honeymoon that happens right after marriage doesn’t really mean much, because in the case of each arranged marriage, there is always more to know about your partner, and more reasons to find in order to fall in love. That first journey, the honeymoon trip might have had less number of selfies and photos in total. But things change with the trip that you make, an year later.

That was the trip to Thailand, among those shorter trips which were limited to Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It was the next grand journey after the honeymoon trip to Jaipur. The journey was to begin at Pattaya, the place which promised to be different. We had our own time wandering through the city before we got to reach the beach and prepare for the day at the Coral Islands. The first tendency is to ask someone to take a photo, but we decided to take the selfie instead, because it was going to be a different journey, and another path through togetherness.

Well, both of us are not knowing for having any admiration for water and water sports. We usually keep our distance from waterbodies except for that little sunset walk by its side. But this was going to be different, as we had decided to go on the underwater walk. It was a little complicated decision for us, as there was always the question about “to be or not to be in water”. You can see the determination on our faces right there. Yes, this is a “determination selfie”, which is not easy to find in our collection, and it is one of those few selfies which are clear enough, and has our attention.

What you need during these days, is a camera that can capture a selfie incredibly well, something that can provide the moments with all the beauty and clarity that are needed, when we look back at those memories. This is where Mobiistar phone’s front, dual selfie camera comes into the picture, as it captures a 120° wide-angle shot providing a special selfie experience. These wide angle group shots can make sure that there is no part of that beautiful background lost, and it means more wonderful memories along with your faces captured by the camera.

As the selfie craze has only seen an increase, many phone makers have been trying to catch up and give the best of this trend, and Mobiistar provides the same, in style, at a reasonable price. The Vietnamese smartphone brand has a vision to ‘Enjoy More’ by bringing uncompromised user experience. For the same, Mobiistar is expanding the selfie experience for India, and will be available for purchase at Flipkart very soon. It will ensure that the best selfie enjoyment can be economical for the mobile lovers of India, especially for the common man.

With the special features of Mobiistar, one can be sure that more selfies will be taken, and there is no better mobile phone than the one which meets your demands. When you are traveling, you need selfies to be taken, and you need them to be really good, and covering as much of the background as possible. When you are in love, you need the selfies, and when you are having food outside or going for a movie, that can demand selfies too. All these selfies need to capture most of your world, and for the same, the 120° wide-angle shot of Mobiistar will prove to be a big bonus.

Another advantage of Mobiistar is that it has joined forces with Flipkart to provide the best for the Indian market. I would wait for this phone with the wonderful selfie camera to arrive at Flipkart, and if possible, on the local stores. It is always better to try a new mobile phone brand which offers so much, unlike those usual brands which everyone has. Some nice divergence is in need, and soon, we are going to have an opportunity for the same, with the arrival of this particular mobile phone, which can bring big challenges to the rest of the competition. Until then, lets wait for Mobiistar on Flipkart!

A Difficult Case of Mobile

Dracula: I just can’t sell this. They are not buying this at the Goblin Market. They are not even replacing it. I tried the wanderers’ tavern and the merchants’ guild, but they are not ready to take it to the other markets.

Vampire Owl: What are you talking about, Uncle Dracula? Did you go to the Goblin Market again? I thought that we were supposed to visit the place only during emergencies.

Dracula: This was a clear case of emergency. I had to get rid of this mobile before she returns home after that inter-realm tournament.

Vampire Bat: You are getting rid of the mobile of Mavis Dracula? You are going to have a really angry vampire daughter if that is the case.

Dracula: I can handle the anger, but not this terrible case of human contact with this terrible invention which is banned in thirteen realms including the Werewolf Lands.

Vampire Owl: The werewolves banned mobile phones in their territory? This is surely news for me.

Dracula: Yes, they have had enough of it. The mobile phone radiation has been interfering with their ability to transform at night.

Vampire Owl: I have read that they are harmful to vampires too. Doctor Frankenstein has confirmed the same on his latest findings marked on the walls of the Imperial Vampire Library.

Vampire Bat: Yes, it affects multiple vampire abilities. The Vampire Elders have warned against it in a notice sent from the Old Vampire World. They will be here to speak more about it on the next blood moon night.

Vampire Owl: Then we should really get rid of this. If it affects my ability to fly, that would be more depressing than an angry werewolf on a full moon night.

Vampire Bat: Can’t you just throw it away? You can even dig a pit and bury it. We can even ask our zombie minions to deal with them inside a graveyard.

Dracula: No! Mavis’ special skills allows her to detect any trace of it. We have to try better. Only a non-vampire can hide it from her detection.

Vampire Owl: Did you talk to many people at the Goblin Market? Did you find all of the master merchants present there?

Dracula: Yes, there was this green goblin who was ready to take it, but would need an elixir of life with it.

Vampire Bat: They would buy it and you will have to pay for the same? That is rather strange for the Goblin Market. They used to be so much better.

Dracula: Yes, and there was another person who would need some time to check the mobile in detail for a few days before buying it. An orc had set a new trading post just outside the market. He said that he doesn’t even believe that this a mobile phone. He further told me that works of magic are more real and better for the future of our realm, for which there will be a new combined order passed by all races banning all electronic equipment.

Vampire Owl: I once tried to sell my mobile at a shop run by these humans. They were so evil that they gave me only twenty percent of the original price, even though the mobile was rather new. The options are really bad even in their realm. There is no real advantage with this portal leading to the human world.

Vampire Bat: Do you know that you can sell your mobile phones within sixty seconds? There is an easy way around with #CleanUpCashOut at Cashify.

Dracula: I can transform into a bat, a wolf and a polar bear in sixty seconds.

Vampire Owl: Polar bear? That is new. I thought the third choice was raven. I remember hearing something like that during one of those special classes.

Vampire Bat: Well, it is not too late to try this quick option. I don’t think that you have that much of time or that many of choices. I am sure that Mavis will be here in less than twenty four hours. Her team of wolves are already waiting at the back of the castle.

You can sell your mobile, tablet or even laptop at https://www.cashify.in/ – you can use the coupon code CLEANCASH for additional cash. The time is for #CleanUpCashOut.

Temptation by Innovation

I was reading about LG Nexus 5X, and there were a number of innovative features that caught my attention at the first look itself. I have always been satisfied with the mobile phones which I had, and none of the changes were really inspired by frustration, but the hope for finding more innovation. There are not many things other than innovation that inspires one to change the trusted mobile and buy a new one; such is the power of the innovative features – it draws us towards buying the gadget like nothing else.

We can love the present mobiles as much as we want to, but we are still driven towards the temptation. Innovation becomes that best part of the temptation which we can’t resist and have to fall for. It is nobody’s fault though, as we are left with no choice considering our limitations against resisting the temptations. The end result is that we give up the existing mobile phone and buy the new one, thus beginning the new age. Here are the innovations which the LG Nexus 5X brings to us to consider another awesome mobile phone for buying.

nexus (1)

The USB Type-C charger is with the reversible feature is that first thing that comes to my attention as the thing of innovation. I currently got two mobile phones with me, an Asus Zenfone 5 and a Samsung Galaxy A5, both of them having the different side up when I try to connect the charger or data cable. It has been confusing also because I try to connect it without looking – with this new feature of LG Nexus 5X, this has become possible. I can just do the same without looking or thinking with this option.

The Nexus Imprint is the next factor which contributes to the list of innovative things, and it seems to be something that every mobile should try to have. The presence of this fingerprint sensor makes sure that things get more secure, and at the same time, ease of use is guaranteed with this facility. It is placed on the back of the phone and under the camera where it rightly fits and brings further quick access to the user. Turning on the screen and unlocking the apps have never been this easy. This is a real smart move.

Then there is the chance to love the camera which is innovative in itself. I would love to test that one day; because I haven’t known something as big as the one LG Nexus 5X possesses; it seems to be something of higher quality above the usual innovations which got more of the claim than the reality. I have been lacking a certain amount of knowledge concerning the technical side, but as it seems and from what is read, this one looks like another innovative one which can further add to that list.

nexus (2)

With the 5.2-inch display and the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, LG Nexus 5X brings something strong and beautiful to the market. The looks are stylish with the light blue version bringing a stunning effect, and the black one is also a beauty which is not that much far behind. There also seems to be a lot of pre-installed Google Apps which will add to total happiness factor of the mobile phone owner. There is the promise of the best Android experience also present there.

So, the temptation that LG Nexus 5X brings with the help of innovation is rather a powerful one from which you can escape only with consistent prayers, and the realization of the truth that you have an empty pocket. Otherwise, there is no escape, as the beauty of innovation will take you on this day or another. It is not just the innovation that tempts, but also the innovation that inspires creativity. The LG Nexus has been there for some time, and only gets better.

Battle of Ten Vampires

The Great Vampire Library used to record almost all battles which the vampire kind had fought with the werewolves, zombies, dark elves, goblins, orcs, wood elves, satyrs, centaurs and high elves, but there was one battle which they fought among themselves. This particular battle was never recorded in any of the books, and so the gargoyles who guarded them never spread those stories among the masses of vampires. There was no word spoken about it inside or outside the vampire realm, but the vampires knew; at least all who fought or were witness to the battles.

It was the battle for the remote control of the television. It goes back to those years when television was first introduced in the vampire world which used dark magic to sneak into the cable television and bring the channels before that. This battle, which is often referred to as “Battle of Ten Vampires” in secret, had no blood involved, but there surely was the use of vampire powers for the possession of that one special weapon, the remote control. But the vampires were too ashamed to speak about such a meaningless battle.

The battle has actually turned more meaningless, with Tata Sky providing the option to record, transfer and carry the favourite movies and TV shows with the users. The Vampire Owl who created more problems than anybody else, really wanted to watch that match between Manchester United and Liverpool, but the Vampire Bat prevented the same by taking control of the remote control to watch US Open. It was the beginning of that battle which could have been prevented by Tata Sky+ Transfer, and it is still possible with the use of a time machine.

tata (1)

The battle had wide spread destruction inside the room because the vampire apprentices had decided to join. Vampire Hamster wasn’t sure what he wanted to watch and so kept changing the channel. Vampire Crocodile went on biting everyone around hoping to get control of the remote control and Vampire Alligator joined from another side. Vampire Crow used its connection with the dead to summon a few undead and Vampire Raven contacted the other world directly through the portal. With Vampire Cat joining in, Vampire Panda and Vampire Penguin contributed heavily to the chaos.

With Kung Fu Panda on Star Movies, Vampire Panda had no option but to go berserk, and was stopped by Vampire Penguin who wanted to watch Happy Feet. With Vampire Cat’s desire to watch Puss in Boots gone awry Vampire Crow decided to sneak in and put on The Crow on HBO, but that was thwarted by Vampire Crocodile who managed to put the National Geographic Channel. Vampire Alligator tried to defend the Discovery Channel, but the Vampire Raven sneaked in. With the undead minions joining, and the sofas, tables and chairs thrown around, the television barely survived.

tata (2)

Nowadays, things have calmed down and are getting more peaceful with #TATASkyTransfer being available, providing the customers with the option to watch the shows whenever we want to, with the programs stored in the devices in pockets. The shows can not only be watched in one of the rooms on one’s phone, laptop or tablet, but also while on a journey which might be too long. This surely seems like a better option than the internet download because things are rather more direct.

Now, there are wars to be fought outside, and it will be very good for the vampire community to have the internal problems solved. It is something that #TATASkyTransfer can bring everywhere and make sure that the fight for the remote is not there. The battle to watch a cricket, football or tennis match during the time of the television serials is something of epic proportions and there is the need for bring Tata Sky+ Transfer to save the day in most of the cases. So, this becomes a choice for peace and non-violence. Check here for more details about the same here: http://www.tatasky.com/transfer/

Airtel 4G at Trivandrum

Lets back to #Airtel4G again. No, I am not done with it, not yet! The immortality of the Vampire Bat has been brought to test many times, but he has survived, and so he is here to live another day, and that too with Airtel 4G at Trivandrum. He was there when it had launched at Cochin, attending the special blogger preview, and he was also invited to Trivandrum for the launch there as the Vampire Bat became a temporary Trivandrum blogger for a very short period of time.

Actually, my last few posts were written and posted from Trivandrum itself, and I managed to meet a few bloggers out there too during the launch and preview. I have been wandering around Trivandrum since morning that day, and the trip to a place which I had never really visited that much was going to be a lot more interesting with the 4G. I was caught in the web of 3G just before that, and so getting to 4G like in Cochin was something which would speed up a lot of things, not just the data.

Artists pay homage to the deeply saddening incident at Shankumugham Beach

Here at this beach, the artists pay homage to the deeply saddening incident

I have been using Airtel 4G since August twenty fifth, and it seems that I will be testing the same for more time, and I am also hoping to keep it recharged with the 2G and 3G until the 4G comes to my town. Back to Trivandrum, it surely seemed faster here as the speed suggested. But there was something lacking in the continuity as it didn’t remain as consistent as it was at Cochin. The highest speed was seen in the speed test at Pattom, and even with those seconds of loss of connection, things remained real quick.

There was the trip to Kovalam which was pending for a long time, and it was done with a double-decker bus which was faster around here than at Cochin. From Karamana to Kizhakkekkota (East Fort) and to Kovalam, the 4G maintained its power, and I would expect the same at Vizhinjam too – but wandering through the three beaches, there was some nice 4G experience which ensured that it was easy to post higher quality pictures taken by me on Samsung Galaxy A5 – even the photos taken on lesser quality Asus Zenfone 5 camera used to take more time to upload on usual 3G.

Shankumugham Beach has its own Jalakanyaka a.k.a the mermaid

Shankumugham Beach has its own Jalakanyaka a.k.a the mermaid

The most interesting area of Kovalam was indeed the Lighthouse Beach which has the lighthouse as the name suggests. It feels good to have some Cardamom Tea on the beach here along with high speed browsing with #Airtel4G. The internet had returned to consistency at that time unlike the previous day. The rocks at the Hawah Beach area also formed nice place to look at and rest while working with some 4G. Varkala Beach, also known as Papanasam Beach still remains my favourite beach in the Southern part of Kerala.

There were plans to visit a few other places including the Kowdiar Palace, Napier Museum, Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Palayam Saint Joseph’s Metropolitan Church and even Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, but none of them really happened, and I adjusted with the Saint Mary’s Cathedral at Pattom which was closed, but provided a nice look from outside along with a white coloured church on the other side seemingly belonging to another Christian denomination; there was also the visit to Madre De Deus Church at Vettucad earlier.

And then there was the Lighthouse Beach at Kovalam.

And then there was the Lighthouse Beach at Kovalam, the best of the three there.

Airtel 4G surely has the advantage of launching first here along with being at Cochin and Calicut; it remains the biggest advantage of the network provider. I have also never heard about any mobile phone network provider giving a chance to the bloggers to experience the same when launching at this part of India, not at Cochin, Trivandrum or Kerala as a whole. May be I am not in touch with enough Keralite bloggers to know about such happenings, but as of now, it seems that along with that advertisement with a challenge, Airtel has gone ahead. Rakul Preet Singh of the earlier Airtel advertisements will be missed though 😀

Saint Mary's Cathedral at Pattom is an interesting structure at the centre of the city.

Combo: Airtel 4G Day V

The Day Five is a combination which belongs to #Airtel4G and Samsung Galaxy A5 – these two surely make an interesting team. With 13MP back and 5MP front camera, this dual SIM 4G phone is the biggest phone I have used until now, and it was a lot like getting Nokia N95 at at its peek – well, there are phones bigger than this one, but the Galaxy A5 is also very much more than just a satisfying thing. It should be a master phone to use when you are using #Airtel4G or the same from any other network operators later.

The day’s test once again started with a journey, and this time to the Mattanchery-Fort Cochin area – well, there is this superior phone and high speed, and so it had to be seen what happens with the same at a tourist area around Cochin. There won’t be 4G at any of those places close to nature outside the Cochin area, and so it had to be chosen from somewhere around those islands – Fort Cochin and Mattanchery had to be the obvious choices even as I had visited the place so many times!

20150901_163348

So, this will be just another visit to test the strength of Airtel 4G and Samsung Galaxy A5 – what is life when you have these in your possession and haven’t used them well enough? That should surely call for a small trip, right? Well, Kochi Biennale meant that we would visit this much visited place a lot more, and add another time to that list. The 4G started appearing at the Thottumugham area just before Aluva as before, and remained there all the way until we reached Mattanchery through Padma route.

The strength remained high as we alighted at the bus station and started from the Mattanchery Dutch Palace. The Airtel users among the tourists who are around should have a nice time with this one. Then, after some small shopping, we reached the Holy Cross Church which is known for the famous Coonan Cross Oath and is also a famous pilgrimage centre. Then we left to have food at Fort Cochin, and there was fine speed there too, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise because it is the big, grand tourist place.

20150901_155040

Santa Cruz Basilica remains a beautiful marvel for us even now. One thing I am particularly glad about is that they didn’t paint this one white unlike some of those churches which lost the beauty while being coloured with that particular shade only. This is one of those older and historical churches which you surely shouldn’t miss while visiting this part of the world. The 4G speed was actually the highest around here, right in front of the church, and you know how important it will be for the tourists to have the same around the destinations. So for the tourists, #Airtel4G at Fort Cochin and Mattanchery = big.

You can wander around all the areas of Fort Cochin and see that 4G is almost everywhere, providing the speed to the visitors. We went to the other historically significant church, Saint Francis Church and also that Dutch Cemetery which remained closed this time too. Actually, you can just wander around, and you will just get to some very significant or beautiful place when at Fort Cochin. There are some other interesting churches and temples around which you can just visit along with these to add to the experience. There are also enough buildings around to give you a special feeling too.

20150901_150933

We spent very less time at the beach because of the heat, and had masala tea at Vasco da Gama Square to go to Kumbalangi which had absolutely no 4G at all, and that was surprising because it is also part of Cochin and having good tourist inflow as the first Model Tourism Village in the state. But once we got on that bridge to the island, there was no 4G being shown, and there were areas in the route there from Thoppumpady that didn’t have the 4G either. But it didn’t really bother me in the long run. During the return, the 4G just disappeared at the moment we turned to the Pookkaattupady route from Thrikkakkara.

Airtel 4G Adventure IV

The adventures with #Airtel4G have been quite interesting so far. I have wrote about it already with two posts, one about the first day and also with day two and three. The fourth day was more like a continuation of the same incidents, but a few more locations were tested. Wherever the test was made, there was no compromise on speed as long as the 4G came up on the top bar. I have already mentioned a number of places in my recent posts, and I am going to add more, with further details here.

On the fourth day of #Airtel4G, I decided to check from where the 4G started at Aluva at least from one side. From the Perumbavoor side, it started from Thottumugham, a few seconds after passing the Mahilalayam stop. Yes, it doesn’t start from Kuttamassery as I had expected. The signal gets stronger and stronger until it reaches the centre of the town. There is maximum strength around the railway station, and it will work very good around the Zeenath theatre. It still needs to be tested inside the theatre.

Jpeg

Then when we traveled to Edappally from Aluva, it remained 4G all the way through, even though it was the Container Terminal Road which we had chosen. I made sure about the main road during the return journey. 4G was clearly strong through the bigger roads, even though there should still be those pockets were there is trouble reaching, especially when inside the buildings. But a usual traveler should have no problems. Imagine someone traveling on the Kochi Metro which starts from Aluva with Airtel 4G – that should be great!

Then the test was done at the most significant centre of Kochi – the Lulu Mall. The signal was very good around there for 4G even though it lowered at some areas of the mall. There was no 4G at all inside the PVR multiplex while we tried to watch Kunjiramayanam on this day as it was often claimed to be the best Malayalam movie released for Onam. Jamna Pyari and Phantom were already finished. It was once again back to 2G inside the mall which make me wonder if I have to recharge with 3G only at times, but the availability should increase, and so may be I will keep that as a later option.

20150827_205341

The phone with 4G is surely working better than the Mobile Wi-Fi device and it is a clear thing. I have found the Samsung Galaxy A5 doing better with the connection speed, not only with the direct data transfer, but also as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Yes, the costlier ones have the advantage, don’t they? But the Mobile Wi-Fi device will also do fine. It is the cheaper option, and the right option if you have just bought a new mobile phone a few days, weeks or months ago. You really can’t really let the 4G experience go, right? Especially if you are someone addicted to speed.

Talking about this Mobile Wi-Fi device, it is a nice cheaper option to have high speed internet. This device from Airtel can stand for six hours without being connected to a power source, and we can connect up-to ten users. It can be considered during a journey in a car when we can transform the vehicle into a nice Wi-Fi zone with this portability. All those older and lower cost mobile phone users can be relieved about this one. As I got the broadband modem which works only on power, this has been something which I really needed.

But the device has problems with identifying the IP address on my laptop whhen connected through Wi-Fi. I am still trying to figure out why. Then when I connect it through the USB cable, it provides the internet connection. I will find the reason for that one day, and may be some of those people with more technical information can enlighten me about the same. I will connect with the cable for now. It is still available easily through the Wi-Fi for the mobile phone and so I can continue to use the device.

First Day of Airtel 4G

Most of you do know about #Airtel4G. Well, I have seen a lot of my friends talk about it on Facebook, Twitter and the blogs. Airtel has launched its 4G services at Cochin on August 25th and at Calicut on August 26th. Airtel has chosen Onam as the right moment here, and I couldn’t agree more about this choice. It is also available at the same price as 3G, and home delivery of SIMs is also known to be there. Airtel leads the way here, and being the first one here, holds the advantage. I was given a chance to preview #Airtel4G and I am going to give an account of what happened after that.

The 4G enabled phone - a Samsung Galaxy A5 [16GB]

The sample 4G enabled phone – a Samsung Galaxy A5 [16GB]

Even though it was made perfectly clear that this was for the city of Cochin only, I took my chances and tried this at Perumbavoor, and I am sure that the situation is the same at the other towns which are around the place – Kothamangalam, Muvattupuzha and Angamaly. At these towns the 4G device as well as the 4G mobile works only on 2G. There will be no shifting to 3G here as the switching is done directly to 2G. The Airtel 4G Mobile Wi-Fi device had some difficulties with my laptop, but worked perfectly with my mobile without 4G – on my Asus Zenfone 5.

So, I decided to return to the city on the first day and make sure that this 2G became 4G again. I made the decision to travel on the same route which I took on the day on which I attended the preview at Kaloor – the speed test had been a dream success at that time. Kaloor did seem to the place where the 4G was stronger than ever – it was so quick. But on this day, I decided to choose Thrikkakkara instead. It used to be one of my most visited places during the time I spent at Bharata Matha College. So, I thought that I would start the 4G adventure from the home of one my friends there.

Vampire Owl: So, what is the plan, soldier?

Vampire Bat: We attack the City of Cochin for #Airtel4G from all flanks. We desire and deserve high speed internet. See the map below for further information.

A simplified map of the attack plan to get the high speed :P

A simplified map of the very complicated attack plan to get the high speed internet 😛

The place was aroung Vazhakkala at Thrikkakkara, just about two or three minutes walk from the main road near Biriyani Hut. The 4G was not easy to find inside home, even though it was available outside home; and so we decided to go to the terrace to see if it could do more. The scene was a lot better there on the top, and the 4G was strong there. I had problems in connecting my laptop to the device there too (even though I realized later that I could do it with the USB cable when the Wi-Fi failed me). I apologize for my lack of knowledge related to technology – I am just not into it much.

I checked the speed on the mobile with the 4G SIM and also on my 3G phone connecting it to the 4G Wi-Fi device. It was excellent – I am not a person who has had a great experience with speed throughout my life, and I have tolerated the lower speeds with great patience – the only change to that was when I was in the UK (I don’t remember much from then though). Here with the Airtel 4G, I got 40-50 MB Android apps downloaded in around 30 seconds. Well, I am not used to such speed; never with any of the internet connections which I have used. This is surely my fastest internet experience so far, and the rest of my life has just got slower.

The Airtel 4G Mobile Wi-Fi device, or "the Mi-Fi"

The Airtel 4G Mobile Wi-Fi device, or “the Mi-Fi”

I connected my laptop to the Wi-Fi hotspot on the mobile with 4G SIM. My Windows 10 download just began again from where it had stopped at ten percent. I decided to wait for it to complete and the download took about fourty five minutes to finish the rest of the ninety percent of a total 2.7 GB as it was shown on the window. If I was to sit at home and use my usual broadband connection, it was to take a lot more time, and for the 2.5 GB, it would take me around eighteen to twenty hours – I might need to keep the laptop switched on for the whole night to make sure that things go smoothly for me during the day.

We actually stopped on the Seaport-Airport road on our way back, close to Bharata Mata College, and the speed test made it to the highest I had got. Well, I am not sure how that works, but returning home and checking the internet speed of my broadband made me feel that a return to the Stone Age was happening and I needed to resist the same. But unfortunately, 4G is not available at my town yet. I have to wait for it, and until now, I hope to use 4G during my regular visit to the theatres at Cochin – as long as there are multiplexes and movies, I can use this to my advantage.

Soon to follow with Day 2 of #Airtel4G: Hopefully with Aluva-Kalamassery-Kakkanad-Thrippunithura! 🙂 Lets also talk about the devices and how they have been/will be further helpful for me on the next few days.

Internet and Speed

I have never really had a good experience with mobile internet, which is why I am not that much of a fan of having internet on my phone. It applies to almost every mobile network as there has been some problem here and there. I usually use my Wi-Fi for my mobile and even when I am going somewhere else, I try to keep my dongle with me with hope to connect it somewhere. The problems with my mobile internet connections were the high costs, slow speed and the lack of interesting plans.

I remember reading about 3G at one point. It was so big at that time, and now the time has come for 4G. I have never really been a consistent follower of a network, and has had my history of changing through them. 4G becomes a good reason to choose Airtel in this world of so many mobile phone networks when nothing really works with the mobile internet. We hope for something and we never really get them as we keep waiting. May be, 4G with its speed, can change this situation.

artl

We have wasted a lot of time with the lack of speed. With movie, music and video download, it has been quite natural. When something like that happens, we are provided with no option but to wait. There are times when we have trouble in loading some sites and it proves to be eternal – we wait and wait. At the end of the day, the only thing that we get is the opportunity to wait. Do we pay for that opportunity to wait, like paying for a dog which bites us? Is it the right thing to do when better options are available?

Well, vampires are supposed to be immortal and so are the angels. The Devil will also agree. But some network connections are those which test your mortality as a human being. Forget the downloads, because some cases cannot even come close to that – they make me afraid to download because we have to wait so much. Do we want to use that opportunity to wait as if it is what we get and it is what we deserve? Don’t we deserve better in this age of more modern technology?

In a world in which nobody has time to wait, Airtel 4G is going to be interesting. Patience is no longer considered a virtue as things happen so fast. There is a lot of value for time, unless you are jobless as I am; still I don’t have enough time in a day. The available 24 hours in a day never prove to be enough for me and I hope for me! So, I can guess how valuable it is for people who have jobs. So, this never-ending wait is never a good thing. Everything needs to be faster, and it should begin with the internet.

My hope about Airtel 4G is to change my idea about mobile internet in a positive way. It hasn’t been that great related to any mobile operator, as something terrible happens every time. The mobile internet has been my long time enemy with 2G and 3G, and it is something which should change with the new high speed 4G mobile internet from Airtel. I have seen the advertisement about the same already, and I believe that the most of the people have gone through that already.

The new option can get rid of a lot of problems as Airtel is the first telecom operator to come up with the 4G services and it happens across 296 cities across India as this goes nation wide. There is the option of free home delivery of the 4G SIM card and it is to be available at the same rate of 3G SIM too. It is actually just one tweet away – #GetAirtel4G. You can check for the 4G option from Airtel for more details about the same as you get the same data benefits of the existing 3G pack along with enjoying high speed 4G at no extra cost: http://www.airtel.in/4g/

Surf it All! Surf it Fast!

I have used a number of internet browsers throughout my long computerized life, and among them, UC Browser has had a special place in the last few years. I have to admit that I didn’t realize that it was available for PC, but my android phones always had that installed. As I am waiting to download UC Browser 5.2 for PC, I can’t help thinking how much I used it on my android phone. I have actually kept many browsers on my phone, but UC Browser has indeed turned out to be the fastest there.

It is part of UCWeb Inc. based in China. It is now available on the platforms Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Symbian, Java ME and BlackBerry with a new version of the Personal Computer. With more than 500 million global users, its majority of users are in India and China. It is for further grasp on the ever evolving Indian marked that UC Browser has added something which will work like a dream in the Indian subcontinent – something related to the most popular game in India.

uc

A talk about this browser is never complete without adding something about cricket, because UC Cricket is big part of the same. When we open the UC Browser home screen, there is the – UC Cricket there with a blue icon. Currently it shows as T20 2015, but I believe it changes according to the matches. UC Browser provides some nice cricket service in our cricket crazy nation including the latest news related to the game along the live scores, and they are just one click away. It means that if we wish to check the score, there is no need to search on Google anymore.

The cricket fans are going to love this, as they can once again cherish one of those few things which are common among the people rising above that diversity. All the different cultures, customs, traditions, food habits, languages, religions, castes and ethnicities are expected to come together with the sports, and as it is now, it is cricket which unites people in a good way or the bad way. As cricket becomes that common factor among all kinds of people, UC Browser clearly scores here, and scores big, just like Chris Gayle going on an unstoppable assault.

When you click on the icon, it goes to a special page where things are a lot easier. No, it is not like going to the Cricinfo website as this is quite simple and without trouble. You can see the live scores which can be clicked for details, and there are also the options for checking the recently concluded matches as well as the fixtures of the upcoming cricket games. You can also choose between the international, domestic or both types of matches to display for your convenience. The news is right below followed by the special articles which come right after it.

ucyuvi

There is a lot of cricket right there, and it doesn’t end, as the videos and photos follow to provide a lot more of cricket. It is like going to Cricinfo, but in an easier and simpler way, and it will be what we need considering the limitations that the networks have and also the existence of the need to have a quick look at the score. We Indians can’t afford a slower or less efficient display of scores, can we? Well, Indian cricket itself can’t afford to go weak with the curse of match-fixing, corruption and terrible losses to Bangladesh wandering over the heads of the players.

UC Browser will bring cricket and make us attached to UC Cricket which means that cricket will have more people looking for the scores. The other quick links are also there, including BookMyShow, Quikr, OLX, Amazon, Paytm, Facebook, Snapdeal etc. There are also separate icons for shopping, sports, downloads, and other fun and entertainment along with the most visited button which makes things much easier. There is no stopping UC Browser is making things better while browsing online, that is for sure.

Spend some time and data to download UC Browser @ http://www.ucweb.com/ and check UC Cricket http://www.ucweb.com/English/UCbrowser/cricket.html

***I have a special love for UC Browser as it is the name of the college where I studied, UC College – yes, it is also the college shown in the super-hit Nivin Pauly movie, Premam.

The New App Program

I have been an Airtel user for a few months now. I switched from BSNL to Airtel after buying a new Asus Zenfone 5, as I thought that a change was needed. Things have worked very well for me since then. Airtel has been an affordable choice for me, which is why I decided to try the Airtel App too. I don’t have the mobile internet, and so I used the wi-fi of my modem to give it a chance. After all, it is good to be aware of the options which are available, and this was new for me.

Things are just simple with the new Airtel App. You just need to give the mobile number to which they will send the One Time Password, and you are ready. We have five connections for the three people at home, thus making the option open for more than one app, and this one from Airtel did very good, with the password as well as the verification being quicker with this one. They will keep giving instructions as we progress through the app.

airl

You can do a nice recharge for any number simple and fast. I haven’t tried recharging through the mobile phone before even though I had the apps, but this was the right time because things were so easy this time. May be I should have tried this much earlier. But as the wise people say, and so do some of the movie quotes, there is the right time for everything, and it is now for the Airtel App.

Your favourite actions will be saved, and the ease of use keeps saving the day as a reflection of time being saved. It can be used by almost anyone and even the people who are not familiar with this kind of thing. The balance is always visible and you can plan the next move according how much money remains – thus it works as a tracker too. You can add new mobile, landline, broadband or DTH numbers to the account whenever it is needed. The red and white looks of the app makes an impression too.

The Airtel Money option is another interesting side of the app which works separately and has to be downloaded from the Google Play Store itself. It can actually be accessed from the same application after download, and it is quite a useful thing which costs you very less MB to download. You can load money and do very quick transactions there, and it is an interesting option to have.

airtl

The best thing is that it is not limited to one operator as far as recharge is concerned. You can notice three logos of major telecom operators at the homepage itself. I could use it for my second sim connection or for parents’ connections. There is also the option to pay the bills, including those related to insurance, electricity, gas and water. The need to go to the office, or to try the same on the computer are eliminated. There are also free deals available on every recharge.

So, the new app which I tried this week was not a game, but My Airtel App for a change – it is not about those endless running games this time. If you install Wynk Music from Airtel, you can download and play the latest songs too, and even if it is also separate, you can access it from My Airtel App too. The possibilities are more, which is why you can add another app to your list of Android apps. It is a small app and worthy of spending some time and data.

You Need a Zenfone

I have been a strong admirer of Zenfone for a long time, which is why I bought a Zenfone 5 about a month ago and no other mobile phone purchase has made me this happy, ever. It was the only mobile phone that I wanted without second thoughts, and I have been saving Flipkart vouchers for the same until it touched the magic figure of Rs. 8500. It has been working like a dream for me since then, and there has never been an opportunity to complain with that one!

Now, this is the time for stage two with Asus Zenfone 2 being released! I never had an idea about the release – otherwise I might have thought about waiting for the same. But a Zenfone is a Zenfone anyday. It was always a special device and the new release of another version of the same will only improve on it without losing anything which has been making the original mobile phone a wonderful product. Therefore, a lot my friends have been excited about the same and so am I. Here, you can see five reasons along with some extra points on how this new thing of joy could redefine our smartphone experience.

asusasus (1)

Have you ever heard about a smartphone with 4 GB RAM? Well, I haven’t yet. Asus Zenfone 5 itself had 2 GB RAM and it was so good – it is not easy to imagine the strength of a 4 GB RAM, and only by using this new Zenfone that we can know the same. There is the first reason for buying this mobile phone without even going in detail though it. Just #CantWait4Zenfone2 – we ask God why we have to wait for the same. We need this wonderful phone as soon as possible.

Asus Zenfone 2 has an amazingly stylish design, and you can do nothing, but adore its beauty which is matched by none other. Yes, it goes the thin way, and you are going to love how you get to better place it in your pockets and bags. The finishing is so good that you can’t take the eyes off the product – and it is also more than what meets the eye. You have to surely love the phone with the red colour more than the others, and it is like a special device of beauty and extra power that is in your hands. This is sure to be a device that brings you a lot of pride!

Well, it is going to make even the aliens and the Devil himself so much jealous, and deeply saddened about the fact that they are not humans. But you can’t really blame them related to this case. With the RAM that we already know about and the powerful processor of 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel® Atomâ„¢ Z3580, the games are going to be too good in this one too. Everything is going to be too smooth, and anything bigger than Asus Zenfone 5 in that case is going to feel like heaven, and it should be what Asus Zenfone 2 is going to be about.

asusasus (2)

Then there is the 13MP PixelMaster camera which will beautify our memories like never before. Even my digital camera is only of 12MP, and I have never gone that far with pixel power. I thought that I would be satisfied with the 8MP camera of Asus Zenfone 5 for now, but then there is Asus Zenfone 2 which tempts to buy another mobile phone soon enough. You have to see how good the 8MP one already looks with the current model, and you will know that the camera from Zenfone has a special superpower of looking a lot awesome. It is also going to capture the best photos in low light without flash and has no shutter lag!

The ZenUI Experience is also impressive, unlike what you can use in any other mobile phone that you know about. I have already found the same a big improvement with the Asus Zenfone 5. As they say, you see what others can’t see with that one for sure, and it is not limited to the camera power, but to the phone as a whole. It also claims to charge the battery faster, and the dual sim is going to be more useful than ever with our mobile phone here. The accessories are surely going to make things a lot better for us users of the Zenfone. You need the Asus Zenfone 2, and it is a fact. #CantWait4Zenfone2

There is Always a First

Just like many other things in my life, there was a first for my mobile phone too; even as my first mobile phone was Nokia 1100, the first smartphone was a Nokia 6600. It actually had a short stay and was replaced by another phone which made way for a Nokia N95. But this Nokia 6600 had a special part in my life. It was the first one to let me store and play videos, and also the first to transform into my favourite music player.

I was among one of the first to get a smartphone in my class and remained the only person to have a Nokia smartphone for some time. I still remember that the volume of the phone used to reach such a high level that it could overtake all other mobiles at full volume, especially with some songs. It was big and had a special shape, good enough to catch the attention of almost everyone.

motoe

But then, one has to have the luck to start with Moto E. It wasn’t really the season of the smartphone when I got the first of them. It took me some time to get used to it, and there were not many people whom I could ask for help. When there is the option to start with Moto E these days, things have changed. Almost everyone knows so much about the phones, and there have been so many positive opinions on Moto E.

This is the season of more power, and Moto E provides just the same. My first smartphone was a drag, and I wished for more power. Symbian had its own problems here and there, and I wished for a better Operating System too. 6600 had made me wait a lot after clicking here and there, but I have been a patient owner, or it is rather like I had no other option. There was the need for regular restart too – it was a machine of that generation, and not a Moto E.

I also remember how bulky that phone used to be. It was like it could be used more to throw it to get mangoes from a tree. It weighed a lot and had too much of a size to fit into the shirt’s pocket. These could have been solved if my first smartphone was Moto E. I have gone through the photos of the phone in Flipkart, and it is very thin, and the right phone if you wish to keep it in the shirt pocket.

motoee

The battery is also going to last longer with a Moto E, making sure that I don’t have to keep recharging the phone. It was another problem of that age, but now, we are into advanced times with Moto E. Then there is the new Android, and such an Operating System was also the need of that age. With the 5MP primary camera and the presence of the secondary one, I could have done better than all who didn’t like my phone’s camera at that time.

The storage problems also get solved with Moto E. The speaker is so good and the same is with the design. Yes, the touch screen option can’t be forgotten, as the screen looks so clear, and it is smooth to operate. During those days of the past, I actually struggled to work with that big phone. The 6600 could make an impression with the high volume of sound, but I expect Moto E to make things better with more clarity of sound – achieving fine quality.

***The images used in this blog post are from Moto E’s contest page for which this one is written. I would #ChooseToStart with the new Moto E! That would require a time machine right now, but there can also be another beginning, because there is no limit to the possibilities: http://www.startwithmotoe.com/

Terror of Advertisements

A few things that disturb me include the quality of the advertisements that we see on these days. Yes, there are a few nice ones like the Alphenlibe Anti-boring Ad which has been one of my favourites, and the Zoozoos of the Vodafone’s past were nice, the latter making me shift to Vodafone from the dead Uninor. Idea has been always eating my brain with those Sirji Ads and now they have come up with so many of their terrible Ads between the Malayalam version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire/Kaun Banega Crorepathi – Ningalkum Aaakam Kodeeswaran has too many of them! Idea Internet Network = University = IIN? Seriously?

1. The bakery drone maker of IIN: I am surprised that Idea could go this low. No, you are not empowering the youth here, but making them believe that only by studying in IIT that you can be someone who is of significance in this world – even the IIN (Idea Internet Network) is made to sound like IIT making the people who study in regular college seem like idiots. Yes, if you don’t get admission in IIT, you needn’t study more and they make it clear. Be an engineer, and you can use internet to make the best gadgets of India; that is all right there – you will be awesome that way.

See this Vodafone Ad? This is enough. A lot better simple Ad here.

See this Vodafone Ad? This is enough to make a good point without lying.

2. The IIN girls who never go out: Yes, they don’t send women to college, but nobody cares to change that and to make sure that the female members of that village also have equal chances. If you have a mobile phone with Idea internet connection, women can stay locked in their houses. The kind of land where women are not allowed to go to college and study, can have the best android phones and 3G internet which the girls can use without any restrictions. Good bye, logic. You were never even in the extended picture.

3. The IIN student who searches for brain: Why would someone need internet to decide what to study? What a student needs is the brain to make decisions for himself and he can always choose the books instead. If someone thinks that the not-so-authentic information in the internet equals or is better than what he or she studies at the university, Indian Government can just ban all universities and tell the citizens to come and write exams which can be conducted every six months or so.

4. The IIN teacher who uses internet to teach: Here is the dumb teacher who thinks that she can only use internet with Idea, and still she is not fired. She can’t read books, and therefore chooses to use internet to teach students. This internet addict thinks that everything which is found on internet is true and updates her classes according to what all that she can find there and not from the books. I am glad that I finished the school early and won’t have to learn from a teacher like her.

BSNL doesn't need Ads. Yes, their Ads are not good either, but they don't need it.

BSNL doesn’t need Ads. Yes, their Ads are not good either, but they don’t need it.

Did Idea invent internet? It seems to be trying to make people think so. Internet is not the best place to study, dear Idea – it has too much of abuse, porn, hatred, wrong information and everything which can make the place the worst university to study. Internet can help for some knowledge, but is no real teacher. There were those terrible Honey Bunny Songs, No Ullu Banoing, What an Idea Sirji, and now this. This is the lowest point. I have once been a customer of Idea before using Airtel and Uninor. I am now using Vodafone – until they outsmart Idea in making such disgusting advertisements. I also do keep a BSNL number. My whole house has turned Idea-free due to their advertisements.

There are other Ads like those of Imperial Blue which generalize or stereotype men, and those Pepsi and Boost advertisements which bring too much of the Indian cricket team without knowing any of innovation. The jewelry advertisements of Kerala are very much unbearable as you can guess easily. Those irritating bike Ads with stunts are the perfect examples of having no creativity at all. Then there are the people of the toothpaste who come into bathrooms after kicking open the doors – do they do any good?

***The images used in this blog post are from the Facebook pages of Vodafone Kerala and BSNL Kerala which are the network connections which I use. I really hope that there are better advertisements for Idea too, so that I can watch the television programs in peace. And please value books more than internet. Thank you.

Unconditional Asus Love

Asus Zenfone 5 has been my dream phone for quite a long time. This would be the third gadget from Asus I will be using if I could get to finally attain my love, the Asus Zenfone. For so many months, I have spent my time staring at her on various online shopping websites without saying a word. I have been a stalker of this phone for too long, and on this Valentine’s Day, I choose to tell her that she is my valentine.

Vampire Owl: But dude, she is just a phone. I mean, “it” is a phone. Choose the lady in the advertisement instead. That girl on the poster is a beauty too.

Never mind the Vampire Owl. He has been very jealous because he can’t use a phone without scratching it. It is in his blood to scratch. He never really owns a phone right now. He is a very sad owl and a depressed vampire. But I have got my Valentine on this wonderful day, and she is a Zenfone. Why is she my Valentine? Well, there are too many reasons for the same. I can give you five of them with ease.

1. The Beauty: There is some connection between love and beauty as far as the poets are concerned, and I choose to go through that connection with my future Zenfone. Among the mobile phones, I have considered Zenfone as the fairest of them all, and it doesn’t mean the one who doesn’t cheat with a line call during Badminton – but the most beautiful of them all. A Zenfone in red is so much of a joy to watch. It is not comparable to Kate Upton in red, but still too beautiful.

2. The Gaming Partner: I have always wanted a Valentine who could play games with me, and I have found one with Asus Zenfone. I feel that an amazing gaming experience awaits me with the phone, and I already have a small list of games ready, which I wish to expand once she becomes my Valentine. We shall play more games together than any immortal has played with his lovers. The games will keep us youthful for long. We might even come up with a gamer anthem.

3. The Honeymoon: I see that if I can make the Zenfone mine on this Valentine’s Day, I have a chance to fly to Singapore with her for honeymoon, and all the expenses will be covered by her only. Zenfone already has a honeymoon ready, and if still there is any doubt in my mind whether to propose to the wonderful phone, I have to ponder more on my thought procedures than anything else. Yes, I have been to Singapore and I love that place – another opportunity, this time with the loved one is only fair.

zens

4. That Energy: I cannot question her energy either, as Zenfone has that long battery backup and performance which might surprise me, even with the clear knowledge about the same. Who wouldn’t want a valentine with so much of energy? After all, she would always have the power to light up my life. I might loss my powers, but she won’t. She will remain better than me – it is something that I shall cherish.

5. And Simplicity: ZenUI is intelligent and simple – who wouldn’t like a smart girl who has absolutely no vanity and talks with such simplicity? Zenfone is such a lovely character – never boasting about her skills and always keeping things simple; not falling into the Devil’s favourite sin. Lucifer might be very unhappy with that, but let him be so, because he should have a lot of free time at hell. Pride has no role in her heart. She is worth every word of love that you say for her.

About Useful Chatting

The modern technology has provided us with more than one opportunity to talk and communicate with each other; it still finds newer ways for the same and this is one procedure which might never end as long as civilization exists. The telephone itself was a big thing and then the mobile phones. But chatting has been thing which changed a lot of things. Lets take the useless and meaningless chat stuff away, and one has to admit that chatting is easier and should provide better result compared to talking through the phone especially when emotional stuff is not involved.

1. Everything is very clear: You can use links and photos to make a point and make things clear whenever needed. The amount of detail that you can have here is a lot. There is nothing lost with a bad network, and things come on screen efficiently as any difficulties in communication can no longer be a barrier here. You can always check the earlier messages to know how things have been going, the information can be stored without forgetting. It will remain clear as it has always been. There will be a record.

quikr (2)

2. It has nothing to do with emotions: You needn’t get your bad mood get in the way and chatting helps you with the same. It can’t affect the person on the other end or the both. Your tone can’t affect the person on the other side in making decisions, and you can maintain your privacy by not revealing the phone number. You can be yourself, but still not be uncomfortable. There will be no mobile number going around for everywhere, and as most peope never wanted such revealing, they can have a sigh of relief.

3. You can talk and receive at the same time: This is a big bonus as a lot of time is saved here along with the money that is spent with calling people through any mobile network. Calling by phone means that you have to talk and wait and some people never allow others to talk as they go on and on without stopping, and there are another kind of people who can manipulate the others – chatting controls this interaction in a good way up-to an extent.

quikr (1)

It will help the buyers and sellers in a website like Quikr a lot. This should be what Quikr Nxt is aiming for. With the catchy tagline “No Fikar. Chat Quikr”, the aim is sure to be reached. Here, you don’t have to reveal the number either and buyer-seller contact might have never been easier, and it also means that a record of the transaction will always be there, with no need to remember or write down things. It can’t be any better.

Quikr has been getting bigger and it was the need to get better, for which they seem to be striving. This new feature called Quikr Nxt should bring wonders here. There are so many users on Quikr, and I would say that this is a right move considering the fact that a lot of online and mobile users are going to find chatting the better and the easier way. Quikr is surely ahead in the ideas, and just like the name suggests, is quicker than the others.

Rediscovering a Passion

There are many things I have been. But among them, one of the strongest was about being a gamer, someone who could stay awake all night and play all of those games on the computer as well as online. There was also that LAN gaming saga which was there between us friends. But things have changed, as we replaced our high performance computer system supported by that powerful graphics card, with two laptops for home, a procedure which stopped my gaming like a dead end.

There were the games like Age Of Empires, Age of Wonders, Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament, which were the older games which had me interested, along with those newer games of the time Prototype, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Mass Effect which formed my later love along with Crysis and Assassin’s Creed. But then, everything disappeared, and it was like vanishing into thin air – the process was quick, and I did nothing to stop the same.

When I was a gamer, I used to believe in myself. I had good friends, better ideas and the belief that I could do things that nobody could. But as I ended that procedure, I felt a certain amount of weakness in me. I had the feeling that I wasn’t that good as I used to be, and my confidence went down another level. People did say that the end of gaming was a good thing for me, but I could feel it in my heart more and more as time passed.

What I didn’t realize that it was gaming that made me a more confident person, and may be even a better me. The games had brought the believer in me to another stage, but I had never realized that, and stopped everything all of a sudden. I should have stuck to the older games on my laptop, but for some reason, I tried, but could never really stick to it. It was a sad state for me.

On this New Year, I make the resolution to bring gaming back to my life. I have only a mobile which doesn’t support most of those big games, which is why I need a tablet, something like Micromax Canvas Tab P666 which can bring my passion for gaming back from the bottom of the abyss. It is surely going to bring back the gamer in me to life in a procedure of resurrection, especially my First Person Shooter side.

This one has Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and having such a fast and responsive tab will boost the gamer in me like never before in the last few years, and I am hoping to get it one day. It also boasts of Seamless Multitasking with Intel Burst Performance Technology. Even as there are many things that the Canvas Tab can do with the movie lover and the bookworm in me, lets believe in the power of this gadget to make gaming come alive for now!

The Phone that Saves

Inspired by the powers of the new ASUS ZenFone, I have taken over the responsibility to transform my little mobile phone into something like a superhero in a world which needs a lot of saving, from the bad movies which are released in this world. Taking the situation in our nation, Bollywood takes the opportunity to unleash hell on its people, the poor viewers are bombarded with bad movies one after the other, and this chemical attack leaves the fans incapable of watching any other movie in any other language.

The grand superpower that my mobile phone will have is to save the good people who wish to watch nicely made movies rather than the nonsense that are usually fed to the viewers in the disguise of movies. The level of movies have been declining day by day. Even Hollywood has to depend on the remakes of the old good movies at times, and Bollywood has absolutely no idea what they are doing, with coming up with the worst movies of them all. We don’t deserve them, and the movies don’t deserve us as audience.

But even such cases have their own supporters, just like any political or religious moment will have their own people. They are the fans who are completely and blindly into celebrity worship. More people suffer in this world due to fake reviews posted by fan-boys and fan-girls than those who don’t really read the reviews. Each and every fan comes up with an opinion that the movie of their favourite celebrity is good, and this has lead to the rise of the worst movies which are liked only by the fans, but the rest are also forced to suffer the torture.

The word-of-mouth opinion can no longer be trusted. This is where my super-phone will come to the scene and save the movie watcher’s world. This is why this phone will consider a scan on the theatre, find the people who are already in the theatre, check their reactions and also their own mobile phones to find if they are blind fans of any superstar attempting to praise or bring down the movie for no reason. It will also go through their mobiles to see their interests and previous history. It will also have a look at the theatre ambiance give a rating to the place in a score between zero and ten. It will also find good movie DVDs by just scanning through the covers.

It will identify the keywords which have been used about this movie by the neutral viewers who have a movie taste that matches me, and will find out what the flick is actually about and give it a rating according to how much it will interest me. For example, a horror movie will surely have a certain boost in the points, and if it is a movie like The Cabin in the Woods which is more than a horror movie, or You’re Next which finishes with a message, there will be more points added. The mobile will have the ability to know what I have written about other movies and thus used to my tastes. This super-power as well as the hero is called the Truth-On.

The mobile itself is a movie lover, keeping its own movie wallpaper :D

An advanced version of the phone will actually come up with a few points about the movie which the user will find interesting. For the same, the phone has to travel through the portal which gave it the superpowers, the Portal of the Oblivion, which further leads to the world of Absentia which lies between this world and the Other, from where no phone has yet returned without losing its battery or keypad if present. Not really recommended for any phone unless it is as powerful as a Zenphone – it is a risky procedure, but one day, my phone will take that path too.

Coming back to the new Asus Zenphone, I do hope that I will be able to buy one when I get a job, and if I do get one. It is undoubtedly one incredible mobile phone there. Then there are the looks and the name – how can someone not like that name? I am writing this post as part of contest organized by Indiblogger and ASUS about “Taking inspiration from the super powers of the ASUS Zenphone, give your phone a super power and tell us how it would help you see what others can’t see and do what others can’t do!” and the details can be found here: http://www.asus.com/campaign/zenfone/IN/
