Her Wings of Inspiration

I haven’t been talking blogging very seriously when I started my first blog on WordPress, The Travel Diaries as the blog on fiction, The Divine Epic came much later. I just posted something about any random journey of mine and logged out, not bothering to think further about what I had written and on who all were reading the posts. The procedure continued for quite a long time with no change at all. I wrote, I posted and I got out of WordPress, but things had to change.

My most read blog, Movies of the Soul had mostly readers from outside India, and there was almost nobody from my home country reading my posts. Most of the visitors were from the United States and there were a fine number of readers from the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. As Jesus said, “no prophet is welcome in his hometown”, and that much I found as I searched for explanations to why I have so many less readers from India. Well, I reviewed Hollywood movies more than the Indian flicks, and that should have been the answer.

It was during my time of not knowing anyone from the blogging world that I came across Namrata and her blog, A Lexical Tapestry. I hadn’t been adding people from the blogging world before that, surely not to my Facebook, and she happened to be the first person from this blogging era to add me on the social media. So she became like the only person I personally knew in WordPress, BlogAdda and IndiBlogger combined. She also came with a Liebster nomination for me with her first message.

I have been reading her posts for more than an year now, and even though I was slightly disappointed that she shifted to Blogspot from WordPress, I later felt that it was another opportunity to go through another blogging platform. Her determination and variety in writing was an inspiration for me at that time. Even though I have loved to read almost everything that she posted, I remember her post about Sir Boast-A-Lot more than the rest.

There she goes back to her favourite program, Sherlock, and explains what she calls “evil beauty” (The Vampire Bat likes that a lot). She explains the same in fewer words, but you have to love it when a post against the deadly sin called vanity works so well. Another one I remember more than the others is her poem about Ganges, and a comparison there to the imagery of a woman’s life. Then there are the points that she raises about God and His relation to man has a lot of beauty associated to it!

Yes, blogging has been more of a platform to express myself, but it has also been a place to know others, and relate to those who think alike. I have found better people in the blogging world than I have found throughout my life, and this is no exaggeration. Seriously talking more about it, there is almost nobody whom I can relate with, in my neighbourhood. People still ask about the point of blogging. During this age, Namrata happened to be that blogger who became my first inspiration. I have always enjoyed going through her ideas and having long discussions about the same. She supported me a lot during my early stages of blogging.

With her blog posts, Namrata has always inspired me to write more, even up-to the extent that I now post one write-up per day on WordPress, and also to keep trying to bring more variety into my writings. She hasn’t been writing much nowadays, and claims that she is going through a writer’s block these days – so I ask my first friend from the blogging world, my favourite engineer and the first one to comment on my personal blog The Tea Cerebration(s), to nominate her blog in any of the categories at WIN 15, and along with he same, make that grand return to continuous blogging 🙂 #YouMakeMeWIN

I’m blogging for #YouMakeMeWIN to honour a blogger who has influenced me and deserves to be nominated at WIN15.

The Monsoon Delight

There was always something about the monsoon season of Kerala. I have shared some of the photos of the season now and then either on Facebook or on one of my blogs. Monsoon and the love for rain goes a long way back through the memories. It used to be something not that much loved when beginning on the same day on which the schools re-opened. But that was never what the monsoon was really about. Monsoon was a delight, and the season was special.

It has the special power of rejuvenation, and along with growing those beautiful thoughts to full strength, the emotional side is easily awakened. It has been what monsoon could manage during its favourite months of glory. When you look at the rain drops, it is more like a shower of memories rather than the water that is drained away from the higher realms. It is the choice of the God of Rain, and the direct effect is on our feelings more than the Earth eagerly awaiting the drops.

So to these memories that come down during the monsoon, on a day of full showers in June 2065, I shall sit at the balcony, remembering the day which I proposed in 2015 – a day which is yet to come looking at the situation from this portion of the timeline. It would be another rainy day, not of monsoon, but of the summer showers, giving the life to nature and all hopes which were gone down in the dust and heat that had replaced the less effective winter which had died a slow death.

The proposal there has to take place during the rain. With love in each drop of rain, I would have to wait for the time when she arrives. What is it that the the beauty of rain cannot be, other than a beautiful setting which can summon an even bigger moment of eternal beauty, which can be remembered forever? I would wait for her in the rain, on the Honda Dio, as she would come from a distance with the blue umbrella. There would be thunder and lightning in the sky, but none like those in my heart.

There are seeds that need water, and can love be one of them? After having tea from the nearby tea shop, I shall wait, in hope to have another glass of tea, and may be have the elixir of life with her for a lot of other occasions. There is no need for background music, because the songs of rain are far more advanced and enjoyable than any other, and the visuals of thunder in the sky can claim more brilliance than any other thing of visual splendour.

Well, it has to come right out of the heart, or else it wouldn’t feel right. But I would expect the rain to help me on this. There have been many occasions when the rain has inspired me – it has ruined many outdoor games and travel plans, but has never been short of inspiration. So, it is my privilege to propose just after the next thunder strikes, and with that I would have said those words which I have never said before, even for fun. What will the rain say about that?

Yes, love has all the power to be a rewarding feeling, and rain has always been a rewarding factor – that is one strong and worthy combination. It brings back the best of the memories which will be set on fire again during 2065, exactly fifty years after the day of this proposal. Love is often like a river that runs wild, but so are memories, and there is no need to teach rain about the quality of being wild. May the rain inspire more love stories than any other and let it purify each instance of romance. Lets Blog and believe in #SoundOfLove.

I am participating in the #SoundOfLove activity atBlogAdda in association with Bluestone

First of the Awards

I am glad to announce a first time for this blog: Jay Shah (http://thoughtburps.wordpress.com/) has nominated my blog for  Very Inspiring Blogger Award! Yes, there have been a long list of awards for my other blog Movies of the Soul (http://moviesofthesoul.wordpress.com/blog-awards/) and also a few for my Travel Diaries, but this is the first one for this blog.

Well, this is an award about inspiration, and I am glad that even if I rarely get inspired myself, I still ended up being an inspiring blogger 😀 That should make this award more significant than most of the other awards though 😉 Here is the post concerning the same: (http://thoughtburps.wordpress.com/2014/12/22/so-glad-to-receive-very-inspiring-blogger-award/)

There is also a first in everything, which is why I chose to publish this one as a post rather than as the page like I used to do with the awards for my other blogs. Thank you Jay, for the nomination; you have a very inspiring blog right there 🙂

Here, I have to mention seven things about myself:

  • I have always believed more in death than in life, and I hope for a better world after death.
  • I am now at a new level of tea addiction which you might not want to know about 😉
  • I don’t usually trust people. It has never been my kind of thing; may be I can get a superpower for that.
  • I hate crowds. I would prefer to be left alone or with just a few people, because it feels better.
  • I don’t believe much in winning. I rarely give much value to it. Doing your part well is the better thing.
  • I have become a cricket hater from cricket lover, and the credit for the same goes directly to BCCI as it is now, and I thank them for saving lot of my time.
  • I am a jobless person with not much hope for getting to work in this birth or the next – not even in inferno or purgatario.

Here are the fifteen blogs I’d like to nominate:

  1. Maniparna (http://maniparna5002.wordpress.com)
  2. Namrata (http://namratakumari.blogspot.in)
